Curry Puff @ IKEA

PuffI don't know about you guys but for me and my family, a trip to Ikea would not be complete if we don't drop by the Ikea Cafe to get the famous Ikea curry puff. The curry puff is huge and it has eggs in it. It's best when serve hot and goes very well with a cup of coffee.

The que as predicted, was long. But, reminding myself how good this taste, I waited patiently in the line.

Bought one dozen, since we are dropping by my parent's place. My dad loves this curry puff too.

The cuties would always want the RM1 ice cream. They simply love them!

And while typing this, I am wondering when will be the next trip to Ikea, the best place I would want to be!

Jalan2 @ Ikea

After all the warehouse sales that we went on Thursday, we thought to have a finale of the day by having a stroll at Ikea. We have not been at this place for quite sometime. The cuties, as usual, would want to be left at the playland while we do our strolling.

I have a new project which I plan to do at home. I plan to have my own mini office which allows me to work from home as well as to do my blogging comfortably.

I got this new red chair with wheels price at RM45. I purchased a desk earlier which will arrive this weekend. So, that should complete the office.

We also bought another kitchen stool , now have 3 so that the cuties have one each. Tak payah nak dengar they all fight while having breakfast in the morning.

What's a trip to Ikea if we don't purchase the photo frames. We need another 6 to complete the deco on the wall. And my better half got this thing for our bedroom lampshade.

I wanted to buy more until my better half made me realised there is no room in the car to fit more stuff. Yelah tu bang, if there's a will there's a way kan?

There goes our shopping day......Looking forward to another great one in future and hope the future is not that far away!

IKEA, here we come!!!

We have planned for this trip for the past 2 weeks, marking what to buy in the on-line catalogue since we misplaced the one we received earlier.

Important things to buy :

1. Chest drawer(ke drawer chest) one each for the cuties.

2. The bar stool for the kitchen

3. Photo frames

4. Chairs for the dining table

5. Some accesories for the house

6. Mirrors for the bathrooms

7. Mirror for the cuties rooms

We arrived at 6.15pm so we decided to look for the place to have our Iftar first. My baby wanted to have A&W so A&W it is.

After maghrib prayers, our journey begin.

From one area to another, I just love coming to IKEA. If I have the money, everything in the house would come from IKEA and IKEA only...YOU WISH!!!

We got all the items that we were looking for except for the chairs for the dining table. It's quite costly there, so maybe we'll just purchase the one from Cavenzi. Some of the items couldn't fit the car so it will be sent to our house later. The que to pay was very long but the wait was not that long. I guess IKEA staff is very efficient.

Before we left IKEA, my better half dropped by ACE Hardware at Ikano to purchase the power drill for us to hang frames and other hangable stuff.

We left IKEA at 10pm, and the cuties were exhausted and thirsty. Now, to unpack the things that we buy...penatnyer....

IKEA Food

I felt a trip to IKEA would not be complete without dropping by their cafe. I love their cafe concept. Reminds me of my boarding school years, queing for food and holding trays....Those were the days.

The cafe was nice and economical, free refills for drinks(even coffee, capuchino and all!!), large portion of meals...yada yada yada...I can really go on and on and on when it comes to food. Maner ler nak kurus cam nie...

Moving on.....

So, they had this new items on the menu, chicken wings. Since we were still full, we only ordered drinks(one cup for hot drinks and another for soft drinks), muffin for the cuties, chicken wings and of course, our favourite, the mashed potatoes.

BBy the time we finished the food, we headed to The Curve lak...lama tak gi sana...

Fusion Menu

Before we started our jalan2 carik design session, we had our lunch at IKANO. The concept was fusion menu.

How I want my house to look like

In pursuit on the endless effort to decorate our house and to make it our dream house, we made a trip to IKEA last Sunday. Nope, we don't actually want to make any purchase, we are just interested in looking at their designs. And perhaps to do some adaptation to it. IKEA is not cheap ok...it doesn't jive with our jimat cermat concept.

We looked at the kitchen, love the way the kitchen is being designed. Planning to have the built in oven as well as this small compartment to put in all the pots and other related stuff. Wah!! I can imagine baking raya cookies with the cuties already...miss doing that....

Then, plan to get similar sofa for the living area upstairs. This will be the area for our family to enjoy our favourite TV series together.

This is how I want the room downstairs to look like. Planned to convert this to our library and work area. Cool huh!

And of course, the study area for my princess. She is totally against the cartoon character thingy and keep on reminding me that she is 10...point noted :)....

Haiyo...cukup ke duit nie, and that's not even the whole house yet....

A day with my sayang

It is something very usual for us to take a day off from work once every 3 months and just spend time without the cuties. Some married couple may take this for granted but trust me, you really need to spend time alone with each other. Usually, we will go for movies, bowling or just window shopping...

Today is declared as a public holiday for Wilayah as well. I have actully planned the day off anyway since my better half will be observing the holiday. The cuties have been booked awal2 lagi by their grandparents so it's just me and my better half. The event today is shopping complex hopping(alah, macam island hopping ler)

So, we started with breakfast at Sunway. We were a regular customer of this particular nasi lemak shop located in a food court near Sunway College. I haven't come to this place for ages. The taste haven't change so does the price. It is still as cheap as I remembered it to be. Imagine, one nasi lemak with rendang kerang and telur goreng and another nasi lemak with daging goreng and sambal sotong (with very generous portion, mind you) cost us only RM6 for both. Can you get that kind of food with this kind of price...

First shopping mall in the list is Sunway Pyramid...

Then, we were at The Curve, Cineleisure and IKEA Ikano...

And what a trip to The Curve without dropping by at Big Apple...I still insist it's better than J-Co..

We went back home for Zuhur, Asar and Maghrib prayer...

Last destination Subang Parade, bought a pair of shoes there...will blog about it tomorrow...

Aladdin the Musical - The review

One will have a certain expectations when a show is being performed in Istana Budaya. Due the the success of PGL, whichever theatre shows that comes after that will have to match the certain benchmark that has been set by the audience. Aladdin the Musical is no exceptions. However, the benchmark was Ali Baba The Musical which starred Aznil. That show was a blast and that became the talk of the town. We went to that show as well and we enjoyed the show very much.

We got the tickets a week earlier, apart from the 50% discount for the cuties, I was given additional 10% discount since I am a Sahabat Istana Budaya.

We arrived around 2.15pm as we wanted the avoid the traffic. You won't believe that traffic in KL usually is worse during Saturday rather than the normal working day. The cuties couldn't wait to enter the theatre. They were running all over the place and now I couldn't wait to enter the theatre! They were six of us(plus adik ler...)

In the theatre before the show starts, Istana Budaya was not that strict this time and allow people to snap photos in the theatre.

The show was great! Beyond my expectation considering that there is no actual star, just featuring FBI of Hotfm and Erma Fatima. FBI was excellent and funny giler...Never expect that out of him. Erma was freaky and her voice causes some of the kids there to cry :(. I take that as a success for her...

The kids in this show were very talented. I personally love the parrot character, the witch so called companion. Really cute especially when they were the only 2 creature on stage and were chanting..."jahatnyer dia, jahatnyer dia"... and followed by a giggle...

During the autograph session, we didn't stay to get the autograph as my baby was starving and we need to feed her at the soonest or else....

The lines that I remembered the most :

Akulah jin, bapak jin, ratu jin(plus a gelek act), jintan manis(???), jin lampu ajaib!!!

Apa nie, I tau suka bila u all rebut2 kan I, terasa diriku begitu berharga...(Loreal tagline, tak kena bayar royalty ke bang oooiiii)

All and all, it was an entertaining show...whatever that can make the cuties sit still for more that 1 hour is a 5 star rating to me...

After that, I was craving for IKEA's mashed potato so we headed there for an early dinner. Then, did some window shoppind at the Curve since I love to browse through the flea market there.

It was a good Saturday indeed. No one fought(no major ones lah!), no one throw a tantrum(tak sempat pun since baru nak start, my better half gave the look!) and no one asked for something that they know they won't get(seriously, this didn't happen at all)

Night at IKEA

I love going to IKEA, it has always been a venue that I love to go to whenever I have the time. So, since we have nothing planned that nite, off we go to IKEA. The cuties love to be at the playland and I personally love the playland since I can leave the cuties there and peacefully do my shopping. The main objective now is to get the lazy chair for my dad's birthday.

We didn't get what we are looking for. It was still early to pick up the cuties so my better half and I went to grab a bite at the cafe. The cafe has a cool concept, like the high school in US. And the price is not bad at all.

Time to pick up the cuties. The cuties behaved well that nite so they were rewarded with ice cream.

Did I mention just now I love going to IKEA??? :)
