What a great breakfast

Last Sunday, again, we had breakfast in our garden. We thought that was a good idea considering it rained the night before and that gave us the assurance the air will be cleaner in the morning.

The difference from the last session was this time around to tapau food. The kitchen was open early that morning and I cooke fried meehoon, with sambal tumis ikan bilis and fried eggs. Of course, how can we leave the Nescafe Tarik from the menu.

The cuties enjoyed the breakfast, they finished the whole bowl of the mee hoon.

While baby, still a bit feverish and had to take the medication after the meal.

I was doing some self reflection over the weekend and thinking about the direction of my life. That's when questions like what do I really want in life pop up.....Time to re-allign and re-adjust the aspiration and be reminded....my priority will and should always be my family, the cuties, as they are my investments for the life after death.......

Best Breakfast Session

I think too bad the cuties have a crazy mother who likes to do things when she feels like it. Doesn't really matter whether it's a common thing to do or it's out of extra ordinary.

Like last Sunday, the morning weather was very nice, so I suggested (strongly suggested that no one else have a say) for us to have breakfast outside. Since I have declared the kitchen was close that day, we just tapau Nasi Lemak.

Of course, a must to have Nescafe Tarik.

Apparently the cuties love it. They felt this was better than having meals at the dining hall.

We stayed for a while and read the morning paper. Then, off to a wedding.........

Simple Breakfast

Since early last week, my hero has been asking me to cook Nasi Lemak for breakfast.But, I have to be early for work so did not get the chance to cook this for him. I offered to buy him the one selling by the road side, he said, he wanted the one cook by me. How sweet.......

So, last Sunday, I cooked this for him. He wanted the simple Nasi Lemak, nothing fancy. With sambal sotong and fried chicken, specifically as per his request.

Of course, my better half wanted my signature drink, nescafe tarik!

I felt that it's easier to cook breakfast rather than eat out. Like always, we will have this problem where to eat and sometimes when we try new places, we'll get very dissapointed.

So, this Sunday nak masak apa ler pulak!?

Breakfast before the science adventure!!

This were what we had before our science adventure outing, to celebrate my hero's birthday, his real birthday that is.

And mind you, this is only breakfast!!! But a much needed one once you see the kind of adventure we will be having with the cuties.

The balik kg trip

During Labour Day, we had our balik kg trip to Batu Pahat. It's been quite some time since we went back to my better half's home town. I think the last time was before our trip to Kelantan. Safe to say that was 2 months ago. And I miss Mak already!!!

As usual, if we go back to Batu Pahat, it's a must to have breakfast at Sri Ganding where the lontong is to die for! Here, the lontong offers side dishes as well like sotong, ayam goreng and many more.

The cuties also love the lontong here. They ordered lontong with telur goreng. As for the side dishes we had sotong and ayam goreng. Memang terangkat!

While typing this, I miss the lontong already!!! Bila nak balik kg lagik nie!!

Lontong @ Seri Gading

We went back to Batu Pahat over the weekend. I did not get to snap any pics on the way back to kampung as I was still very exhausted and slept all the way. I was also just lazing around in my in-laws house after we arrived on Saturday, watching AF that nite(though I vote was for the MU vs Liverpool match but majority won) and just talking with the family.

I only started to go out on Sunday, breakfast at my usual fave spot in Sri Gading. Makan apa lagi, lontong sotong with telur mata. Simply delicious!
And the cuties have also adapted to my fave food. They ordered the same food this round. Usually, they would go fot nasi lemak or mee hoon goreng. I guess they got tempted seeing the way I ate this, gelojoh sungguh!

And it was indeed a good weekend. And with Liverpool screwing MU 4-1, makes it one of the best weekend...

Breakfast vs Iftar

I was fasting on last Monday, during the Maulidurrasul. Just a nazar that I have to fullfill. My better half was working hence I have to prepare food for the cuties.

My hero wanted to eat home cooked nasi lemak so I woke up early that morning to prepare this for him. Nasi lemak with ayam goreng, just like how he loves it.

While for iftar, I did not want to eat something heavy so I just prepared fried chicken coated with the KFR flour, accompanied with this meal were mashed potato, fries and potato salad all home made.

Alhamdulilah I have completed my nazar. But, I will continue to fast of Mondays and Thursdays Insyallah.

Breakfast with parents

My parents came over Sunday morning. Actually, very early Sunday morning around 8.30am. The cuties were up already watching cartoon while me and my better half were still asleep, woke up for subuh prayer then went back to sleep which is very typical Monday morning for us.

My parents has a set of key so usually we will be surprised when suddenly they are already in the house. Nasib baik ler I'm always upstairs so sempatlah to get pakaian yang lebih sopan before I go down to great them.

After we bath and get ready, we took them out for breakfast at a nearby food outlet. Which was a dissapointment, everything that we ordered taste horrible. Not going to this outlet ever ever again...

After breakfast, my mom wanted to look for some tudung for her trip to China. We took her to Nilai 3 and she went on her shopping spree while my dad just sat down and look after the cuties.

Yup, my parent is going for a holiday to China this Friday for nearly a week and I will need to be on leave to babysit...Bestnyer kalau dapat ikut gi holiday but apakan daya, budget ciput!

Nasi Lemak Tanglin

Asik mengidam jer kan, mengandungnyer tak jugak...

So, this time I was craving for nasi lemak tanglin. Quite sometime since I had those. It's quite difficult to go there since the location is quite a distance from both home and office.

Alhamdulilah, someone was kind enough to purchase this for me.

But, the taste is quite dissapointing, not even near from how I remembered it taste like. And to make matter worse, they forgot to put the sambal. Nasi lemak without sambal is not nasi lemak!! And this nasi lemak was accompanies by air tekan2(sebab malas bancuh)

But, what makes it a good breakfast, when you share this with the people whom you enjoy their company....In this case, Azrul & Wati

Yup, there is this day called Monday in a week. The beginning of hecticness, at least to us. So, planning is crucial for us to have a smooth week.

Remember this special event?

Well, we started the day, of course by pretending to the cuties we were working that day. They were quite suspicious though as I was wearing jeans to work. For my better half that's a norm, he always wear jeans to work.

The theme of the day, by the way, is to go and enjoy food at places that we can't go during normal days...

So, the first venue was breakfast at SS19. I love the soto here. The best I have tasted so far. We also spent sometime reading the newspaper, again, something we have not done for quite sometime.

Then, we went to OU for some shopping action. I bought 2 blouses and 2 track bottoms. Wanted to buy more but was rushing to the next location.

Lunch was at Ikan Bakar Jalan Bellamy. With the diet program still in force, I had a fish and a cuttlefish minus the rice. Memang sedap and terangkat!

We headed to Sunway Pyramid just to lepak. Walked around and finally felt tired and had coffee at J.Co. Had a good conversation with each other, an interrupted one, something rare if we have the cuties around.

But, a mother will always be a mother. By 3pm, I was missing my cuties. We called my parents and told them we are picking the cuties and will be making our way to BSP. Baby siap ponteng skolah half day lagik!

Personally, I felt this kind of outing is very important to our marriage. Sometimes, we are so busy with our life juggling between career and family that we tend to neglect the better half. We also have marked in our calendar for the next session for 2009...

In a nutshell, I had an awesome day!

Time with the cuties @ Kuantan

As promised, I spent the whole day with the cuties. We started with breakfast and I told the cuties to really eat, we have many things planned. Kalau lambat, we may have to slash one or two activities.

We started with the game room, they have this room where the cuties can enjoy PS2 at the rate of RM5 per hour. The cuties were quite excited about this, fyi, we have decided not to buy the cuties with all this games gadget. We know this will be a major distraction for them and studies will no longer be a priority.

Next, of course was the pool time. We did not join the cuties fun time, we decided to just chill next to the pool while reading the newspaper.

I have to put a limit to the time spent in the pool. I have to pack for out trip home. We have some other places that we want to go on our way back.

Sabar yer!!

Breakfast @ Semenyih

Last Saturday, we were searching for a new place to have breakfast. My better half suggested let's go out from BSP but not to BBB. And he suggested for us to go to Semenyih.

Ever since we moved to BSP, we have never explored Semenyih. And we don't know how far Semenyih is. We were told, it's not too far from BSP, about 15 minutes drive. But, driving there, since we did not know where exactly the place is, we felt that it was far indeed.

When we reached the town of Semenyih, we noticed there's a Pasar Pagi going on at that place. We were still exploring the area and decided to stop by this small stall just right at the juction of the shoplots near the Pasar Pagi area.

I ordered lontong with fried egg and sambal sotong, same goes for my better half minus the sotong and my princess minus the fried egg. My better half also ordered pulut with kelapa and gula merah. The lontong were delicious! Not sure about the pulut, did not eat them, but my better half said it was very nice.

While my hero and my princess wanted roti canai instead. But, to our dismay, the lady forgot about our order and when we reminded her, she told us there is no roti canai left. What pissed me off, she told us without apology and even have the guts to tell us, "datang esok lah!" What the fish??!!! End up, we purchase something from a nearby bakery since my baby merajuk, tak nak makan anything there....

When we were about to pay , we complained to the shop owner and apparently, the roti canai stall outside their gerai is not theirs and the shop owner did not look very please with the roti canai stall owner, it seems many people complained about this stall doing the same to other customers.

For those staying around BSP or BBB or even Nilai area, if you know the place selling good food especially for breakfast during weekends, please do share with us. Boring ler makan tempat yang sama.

What I learnt today?

If I were, one day, kalau ada rezeki, to have my own business, I must remember customers' satisfaction is very very important. Remember, word of mouths advertisement can make or break you!

Roti Canai sabar menanti

Ever since we moved to BSP, we have been frequenting this outlet for breakfast. The roti canai is very nice and so are other dishes in the menu like nasi lemak, nasi kerabu and nasi berlauk.

Due to this factor, there are a lot of other patrons to this place. And that resulted to those who wish to have breakfast here to be very patient. Sometimes the waiting period can come up to 20 minutes.

Since the cuties love to eat here, we are here quite frequent. Usually, my baby is not very patient when it comes to waiting for food(which she inherited from her Papa). But, when it comes to this place, she doesn't seem to mind...

Just look at her face. The waiting is definately worth it!

Morning with in-laws

Relaxing Monday morning...If only every Monday is like this Monday...YOU WISH!!!

We woke up early, as we wanted to follow my mom and dad in-law to the market and followed by breakfast at Parit Raja. By the way, the market has just been re-located from the main Parit Raja to Parit Daun, just outskirt of Parit Raja.

After that we had breakfast at this normal asam pedas stall in Parit Raja. The menu will also be as usual, asam pedas ikan, ayam goreng and some veges. But, this time around, not as good as our last visits. My better half explanation, " the usual tukang masak MC kot".

Every Monday, there will be Pasar Pagi at Parit Raja. You can find almost anything there, from food to clothing to even pet store. Very convinient to shop here, as you don't need to go anywhere else.

Ahhhh....my ideal Monday morning. When will I have the same Monday morning like this...Again...YOU WISH!!!!!
