And the present kept coming

It's been 2 weeks since the cuties birthday bash but the presents kept coming every other day. Alhamdulilah, murah rezeki the cuties.

This was received from Wati who can't make it to the party as her youngest son was not well and she was stuck in the hospital that whole afternoon waiting for the blood test result.

Thanks Wati for the present....The cuties seems to still be enjoying themselves though the birthday was really over!

My hero's new craze

I think by now, most of you would know my hero's ambition to be a scientist. He loves science and would be able to spend hours reading books related to science. While other kinds enjoy watching cartoon, he prefers watching Animal Planet or National Geographic.
This was one of the very many great gifts he got from the birthday bash. I think this was given by Gina, betul tak?

He made us take him to the fish shop the next day to buy some to be placed in this container. He was also blabbering what kind of fish he wants as this tank does not have oxygen supply hence choosing the right fish is crucial. Now, everytime I come back from work, he would brief me the update on his new experiment, at time using terms I have never heard off!
Insyallah, if he works hard and study smart, he will be able to achieve what he has always dream off....Amin.........

Relax sat at the bakery

We were exhausted with all the walking done that day. Okaylah, I was the exhausted one. The rest were still very much energetic. However, my baby is already hungry and she wanted to have food.
My better half has always been a fan of bakeries. He loves going to bakeries and would make it a point to stop at a bakery whenever we have our outings.

So, we dropped by at this bakery(ntah apa namanyer) and they were having this school holidays promo, most of the items are sold ar RM1 only. Apa lagik, we started to choose the savoury and pastry that we like.
We lepak there for about 30 minutes....and then more walking.........

A fish spa experience

While walking around OU, we came across this Fish Spa place and decided to give it a try. Moreover, the legs were already tired from all the walking done and it will be a good thing to relax and have a break while trying this new thing. The price was not that expensive.
The cuties were very excited, but my princess was very ticklish and the first few minutes were spent with her screaming and laughing as and when her feet enter the water.
My baby, as usual, fearless and I was afraid she would jump in the pool. While we were in this spa, my hero was telling us information about this fish like what fish is this, where it came from and the benefit. Gosh, he sure knows alot....
This is my feet relaxing. I nearly doze off, must be feeling really tired.(Sila abaikan kaki yg sebesar kayu balak itu yer...)
We look forward to try this again. If I'm not mistaken, there's one near our house...So, this weekend nak try ok kot?

Birthday Meal

Of all the places my hero can choose to eat for his birthday, he insisted we eat at KFC. I offered Chillis, TGIF, Swensen and many other places but he still wanted KFC. Why KFC, I have no idea and when I asked him, he just felt like having KFC. With that answer, I stopped asking....
We had the KFC at OU right after the science adventure. The crowd was not that pack so it was quite comfy to eat there. I was already tired so having meals at a fast food outlet where I have to que for food is just not what I was looking forward too. But, since this was the birthday boy choice, we went along with it.
My hero, as usual, being the hero in the family, make sure that the needs of his sibblings are well taken care off. That includes making sure the chilli sauces are able to come out from the bottle. Once everybody settled down, he recited the prayer and only then we can eat.
My hero told me he had a great time and this was like the best birthday ever....but then again, he said that every year. It's either the birthday celebration we planned for him is getting better each year or he is just being polite and grateful for all the things we are doing for him.
With that, I thank Allah for all the blessings....

A trip to National Science Center

We were thinking so hard on how should we spend my hero's birthday this year. Typical eating out event just seems to be so boring so we thought of doing something different.
And then we realised his passion for science and decided to go to Pusat Sains Negara. This place is located at Bukit Kiara next to SC. Quite strategic and the parking was quite convenient as well.
The tickets were cheap ; RM4 for adult and RM2 for children. Us, family of 5 only paid RM14 to enter. Wait till you see what's inside and you would know and thought the tickets here are too cheap compared to what is offered.
When you enter the place, the first thing you would see is a big aquarium filled with big fishes but it's ikan air tawar, i.e. ikan sungai. There were lots of this and reminded me of Aquaria.
I like this section, the anak bapak section when both the child and one of the parent sit in front of each other and then slowly a special mirror would reflect the resemblance of the family.
My hero trying the microscope, the real one. We bought one for him last year for his birthday so when he got to try a real one, he was very very excited!
Many more pics in my FB for those who have access to it.
It was indeed a good birthday celebration but the fun time is not over yet....Where are we headed next??

Gift from silent reader

I have been blogging for nearly 2 years but it has never been my intention to be glamorous and famous. I blog just because I love blogging and I don't want to miss important things in my life which I intend to share with the cuties when they are older.

Hence, never I imagine myself having silent readers who often came to my blog to read the stories of my life.

And this silent reader, sent a gift to our house as a gesture for not being able to come to the party. And how did she know about this event? It just so happened she is a friend of my better half.

Thanks for the cake and flowers. The cake was simply delicious and the flowers smell so nice that this ended in our bedroom...
Hope to meet you in person. Lain kali kalau ajak jangan tak datang pulak yer!

The much long awaited birthday party entry

The preparation started about a month before the event. Yup, very well prepared and carefully thought of event despite having to juggle between other commitments in life like work and making sure the cuties were well prepared for their exams.

We have agreed to segregate this event into 2 segments ; the afternoon was for the tahlil and later at 4pm would be the birthday party. Why 2 segments? Cause based on our experience. when all of our guests come all at once, they will be those who we won't even get the chance to talk to. And that would not fit the purpose of having a party when you can't even spend time to talk to your guests.

We engaged McD to organise the games for the party. We thought what is a childrens' birthday party without games. At first we wanted to engage this event company which are specialised in handling this kind of thing, but the quote given were too expensive which we thought it was kind of ridicilous to pay such amount of money.

All the food were self cooked except for the burger and pizza. We wanted to have 2 sets of menu, one for adults and the other one for children.

We also had 2 cakes, the afternoon was the Ben10 cake chosen by my hero and the afternoon was the Powerpuff Girls cake chosen obviously by my princess and my baby.

You wanna know more about the party with more pics(I was too busy making sure all went well that I forgot to take most of the pictures, luckily I have many friends who were doing the snapping of pics for me), come and visit this blogs(ada yg tak update lagik kot), those who were kind enough to travel to our humble home to share this occassion with us.

Gina Manan - who was one of the first person to arrived. Thanks for coming and taking the trouble to make sure she got the right gifts for the cuties,. thanks dear and if you are in KL, let's have lunch

K Red - who helped me to send some of the invites out. I was bugged down with work that I did not get the chance to invite all personally, thanks babe!

Atty - who brought along her adorable daughter and cute little son. Atty is a fun person to talk too and hope to get a chance to get to know her more

Ayu the Sun - no wonder we get along very well kan? We share the same crazy friend all this years without us realising it. What a small world

Sid aka adenium - made up this crazy GBM gang, memang giler2 sungguh! Dah add kat FB kan?

Ayusolo - my tierack supplier with lil^red. Dah jadik minah blackberry yer, sungguh gigih nak mendapatkan storm yg baru itu...so gigih ler menjual more scarves....she came with eliya, entah apa link nyer yer....

Mamamarina - my next taman neighbour. I have been frequenting her blog and when she delivered her third baby, I got her something which I only got the chance to give to her during the party. Merasalah anak dia dah jalan baru dapat the present...

Azrul - my brother who came with Andy. Walaupun lambat datang gak kan. Though it will be sweeter if you guys came to do the dishes as well ;)

To my good and bestfriend Fahmy, who came when he knows the fact if he don't, putus kawan yer....hahahaha!!!

And to all those who came, my sister aka workmate Fadzillah and Zaza, my workmate Pai, my relatives, neighbours and friends who made it. Thanks so much for coming....

The presents the cuties got. Banyak giler, itu belum lagik the cash received. Thanks to all. Our intention has always been to celebrate this with the people we care about and getting all this gifts are a bonus to us. We appreciate all gifts given very much!

Sorry lah, not many pics, hazab betul nak upload pics with this "super fast" internet connection! You can see more pics from the above links.

And lastly pesanan dari penaja, kalau nak order food for catering silalah yer...One step towards owning my own event management and catering business with my better half...Insyaallah

The cutiess birthday party - The tahlil and doa selamat

Last Saturday was the cuties birthday bash. This was the event that we have planned for weeks.

The cuties were not born on the same day, and not on the same month as well. My baby was born in March, Princess in April while Hero in June. Hence, every year, we will have a big celebration in May to be fair to all 3 and to be fair to the parents as well..Bankrupt ler kalau nak buat birthday party every month kan?

This started with tahlil and kenduri doa selamat started around 12pm. The main crowd would be the neighbours and orang surau. We thought since we are going to cook for a large crowd, better take the opportunities to have the tahlil and doa selamat as well. Insyallah, lebih berkat and much more convenient.

This is my niece, Iwan's daughter, Anis. She will be 1 year old this July and is the apple of my eye.
My dad and dad in law ; 2 of the most important man in my life.
The crowd divided to muslim and muslimah....
Alhamdulilah, all went well. Now, need to turn the house around for the birthday portion pulak.

The day my hero was born

Today is my hero's birthday, yup, the real birthday. He turns 10 today.
My hero's name is Muhammad Ilham Syafiq which means "Yang terpuji, Ilham yang penyayang"

My hero was born at 3am in the morning, the same hospital as my princess and my baby. He was born a week late so I had to be admitted to either be induced or operated. Since I knew the date I will be admitted, I took the opportunity to really eat. I requested for my favourite dishes from my mom and eat like nobody's business. Al-maklumlah, nak kena berpantang lepas nie...

Back track skit, I just delivered my princess 6 months ago when I conceived my hero which of course is not a planned pregnancy. I was worried at that time, financially we were not that stable and my princess was still very small. I consulted my mom who told me, "rezeki di tangan Allah, bukan di tangan akak". That opened my eyes and I was grateful for being able to have kids while some people have difficulty to do so.
My hero was an easy baby to take care of. Just give him 2 bottles(fyi, his bottles were bigger than the normal feeding bottle) after maghrib and he will sleep until 7am the next morning. He was really quiet and rarely cry. He was so obedient and hardly throw a tantrum...

We had difficulty to get him to walk. He felt crawling was much faster for him to move aound hence opted to crawl rather than to even try walking. However, we noticed how strong he is. He was seen one day carrying the small chair while crawling...

And those were the good old days when it was so easy to control him. But, when he entered his 5th year, it was really a challenge to ask him to stay still. And that hyperactive attitude stays till now.

My hero may seems to look like this macho and tough guy. Truthfully, he is more sensitive and have the tendency to cry more than the 2 girls. He loves cooking and he is a good cook as well, something he inherited from my dad.

My hero is my bestfriend. My hero is the person I share my joy and sorrow with. I will be the first person he calls and wishes to talk too should anything happens in his life. He shares his most intimate secrets with me and would never want to see me sad. A very responsible brother who is so protective towards his family and will make sure our needs are being taken care off. However, he just hates it when the sisters refused to listen to him...dictator gak kadang2....

To my hero, Mama loves you very much. My only wish is for him to grow up a good son and a good protecter to the sister. And my his wish to be a scientist will come true and may he be suceessful in future. Jangan luper solat ye sayang!

Zaza's birthday @ Chillis

This celebration was a pre-birthday celebration. Zaza's real birthday is this coming Thursday, but since Fadzillah will not be around that day, and I will not be around Monday till Wednesday, so to celebrate it a week earlier was the most sensible thing to do.

Zaza is a sister I have known since 2005, the day I interviewed her. When she join shortly after that, we became close via Fadzillah whose husband was Zaza's classmate.

Though we don't see each other that frequent, that goes to my other sisters at the place I work at, I will still make it a point to celebrate their birthdays.

We decided to go to Chillis cause they offer free birthday cake(a slice only ya!) for the birthday girl. Fadzillah and I went there early to book the table and Zaza arrived later.

Banyak nyer food, sape nak makan nie...Ended up we tapaued some of the food after that.
The singing and blowing the candles ceremony where the whole Chillis staff sang for Zaza, one of the reason why we love doing birthdays at Chillis.

To Zaza, we may not be as close as we were before, and that is purely because the hecticness of our job nature. Nevertheless, I have not stop caring for all my sisters, though it may be perceived differently. Take good care of yourself and all the best. Lastly, congrats on the promo!

Sepetang @ Alamanda lagik

Ever since we moved to BSP, whenever we want to go for window shopping, we will surely choose Alamanda as the main destination. Alamanda is about 20 minutes drive from our home and we don't have to pay any toll to go there.

Alamanda is a typical shopping mall, minus the hype. It reminds us of Subang Parade, both are suitable for families, not like the other type of shopping mall which I categories as teenagers shopping mall.

For this visit, we have a mission ; to look for more items for the party. Earlier that day, after breakfast, we have ordered the groceries for the ingredients to cook. We also ordered the cakes and purchase other stuff. So, Alamanda was the next stop.

We had our lunch there ; I don't know what to eat at the food court and had mixed rice instead.

The cuties also visited the playland. I love it there, cause it's indoor and they have allocated an area for the parents to sit.

Looks like we will be at Alamanda more often!

We've just finished cleaning the house and the dishes after the birthday blast. I am so thankful everything went all.

Will blog more about it later. For now, I need a long shower and then off to bed.

To those who were kind enough to attend, our sincere gratitude. And the cuties love all the presents!

Have a good weekend!!

Busy, busy, busy

Can't wait for Saturday!!!

A week full of "things to do"

This week as anticipated, is a week where everything just has to be on schedule. Even 5 minutes make such a big difference!

For Saturday's event, I have started peeling the onions, shallots and garlics last night and will be cutting the dried chillies tonight.

I have also started preparing the goodie bags. Last Sunday we ordered the cakes, finalised the event with Mcd and ordered the wet products for the dishes. Yup, we are cooking the meals ourselves and choose not to engage with catering companies. We hope our guests will enjoy the meals.

We have segmented the event into 2 segments ; 12 noon will be for org surau, neighbours and relatives. This is for the tahlil and doa selamat. This will end at 2pm Insyallah. 4pm is when the birthday party will start. Most of the invitees are my fellow blogger friends which majority those I have not met. Looking forward to that.

Why 2 segments ; we just want to get the chance to talk to tall our guests. If all come one shot, that will be a great challenge hence we decided to do this that way. Invitations has been sent since last week and done in various methods.

I am hoping everything will turn out well. I love organising events and it has been a dream of mine to own my own catering, even management and wedding planner company. One of my strengths(which is not many!) is my coordination skills. I love when I see the happy faces leaving the event that I have organised. Such satisfaction is just priceless!

Most importantly, I hope the cuties will enjoy their birthday party. The cuties mean the world to me and I work hard to give them a good life. They have been very cooperative and understanding the whole situation around them and they toltally deserve this party!

I hope those who have received the invites can make it and of course for them to enjoy the party!

Mom's birthday celebration

Ever since I was very small, I remembered we will always have a double celebration for Mother's Day. Why? Cause my mom's birthday falls some where around Mother's Day.
This year was not exception. However, it was not a big celebration like before because my elder brother who is in Malacca couldn't make it and Iwan has to work late. Never mind, we shall have another celebration when everyone is around.
We brought mom to Swensen at Subang Parade. My dad is quite paranoid with this halal issue. Whenever we need to take him out for dinner, we have to do our research to ensure the place is halal place. Halal by definition with the halal certification. I know he meant well as he always reminds me if we ever consumed non-halal food, it will blackened our heart and later cause lots of harm to the body.

We ordered a little bit of everything in the menu. From pasta to pizza to salad and some snack like chicken wings and fried mushroom. Dad had fish and chips which he complained was not that tender and the crumb was too hard. Did I mention to you he was a chef hence he loves to criticised whenever we eat out.

The cuties love this place. I love this place too. The service is excellent and the food is simply delicious.

We wanted to order Earthquake but everyone was too full. But, what's a trip to Swensen without having the ice cream. So, I ordered the sticky chocolate ice cream, my favourite! Actually, that was the only food I had, did not want to have too much cause I have plan to have supper with my better half. Nak dating lah!

To mom, happy birthday and love you sooooo much. Thanks for everything that you have done and that definitely make me a better person. And Happy Mother's Day too!!

A delayed and advance birthday celebration

So many things going on in our life. So good, some bad, and that's how life should be.

With all this going on, sometimes things just could not happen as scheduled. Just like the celebration for my 2 little girls birthday.

We celebrated their birthday not on time. Baby's birthday was celebrated more than a week late and princess's birthday was a day early. We combined this 2 celebrations in one since it's only over a week apart.
We had the celebration back at my parent's place in Kelana Jaya. Just a simple celebration with take out food like sate, fried mee hoon and other delicious stuff. Iwan and family was there as well to join the fun.

My hero led the doa recital. He is really getting better at this.

We planned another big celebration later in May Insyallah to celebrate the cuties birthday(my hero's will be early June). It ala again depends on the "B". With "B", the event may be bigger.
Having dinner with family is simply priceless.......

It's all about cupcakes

We were ordering cupcakes every other week. Both for the birthday girls to bring to school to be shared with their friends.
This one was for my baby's birthday. I was not that happy with this cupcakes. It was not as nice as I thought it will be and to make matter worse, my baby's name was mispelled. So, not going to recommend this supplier to you all.
And this one for my princess's birthday. And this one was nicely done. Love it, the look, the taste and the speedy delivery. Interested, visit this blog.

But the bottom line is, my 2 girls had so much fun at school, and that's what matter the most.

My princess is about to enter her teen years......

A week after celebrating my baby's birthday, now it's time to celebrate my princess birthday.
She is 11 today, sharp at 11.11am. We named her Nur Amira Syafiqa which means Cahaya Pemimpin yang lemah lembut
Let me share with you my experience raising my little princess.
For those who have been diligently reading this blog, would know I got married at the age of 20. After 4 months of marriage, I was told that I'm pregnant. This was a pleasant news despite the fact I was still studying and was in final year to complete my course. Alhamdulilah......
Carrying Mira was a breeze. I don't experience morning sickness or even tired. I was really energetic through out the pregnancy and was sitting for my final exam while I was 8 months pregnant. However, during this pregnancy, I love Big Mac and towards the end of the pregnancy, I was practically having Big Mac everyday until the McD counter girl knew what I want even before I reached the counter.
When she was a baby, it was a challenge, she had problems sleeping at night and would usually cry. One night we even took her for a drive at 2am just to get her to sleep cause she only sleeps when she is in the car. I nearly went nuts during this period due to lack of sleep and rest.
Mira has always been a smart girl. She started to walk when she was about 10 months old. I remembered she would woke up in the middle of the night practising in the court until she got it right. I can see her determination and like she knew I was already pregnant with my hero and she did not bother me that much. She was really attached to me though, not wanting to be with my better half.
Mira knows her ABC when she was 2 and a half years old and before she was 4, she already know how to read. She loves reading so much that sometimes she will quietly switch on the light in her room at night just to finish her books.
Mira loves girlish stuff, contradict to Baby. She loves anything which has butterfly themes on it. She loves pink and love playing dressing up. Apart from that, she loves singing and she always pretended like she is performing on stage and everyone is cheering for her.
Mira loves watching malay drama which I think she got that from my mom. When I come back from work, she will update me with the latest development on the dramas she watched with full of expression.
When Mira was born, life was difficult for us financially. Until now, I feel guilty for not being able to provide a better life before. We used the cheapest diapers, cheapest milk formula and simple to say cheapest of everything. She don't get out of the house that often and she did not enjoy lavish food. I think that is why now I want to provide her whatever that we can afford.
Mira always scores the top 3 in her class whether primary school or religious school. She is very smart and her teachers love her. She is also active in activities and would want to participate in whatever contest available. She won most of them and if she didn't she will always wants to try again. She has also khatam Quran last year.
Now the negative part, Mira is hostile towards her sibblings. Sometimes, I felt that she priorities her friends more than her sibblings. She would pout if she didn't get what she wants and love to throw a tantrum and feel she is being mistreated, like we are unfair towards her. I am still trying to change this negative attitude, the last thing any parents want is for the kids to be fighting with each other!
Nevertheless, I love her soooo much and she is my princess. She is my sweet little princess and hope she will grow up to be anak yang soleh, and able to take care of her sibblings. I know deep down inside she loves her sibblings so much, perhaps just not good at expressing it.
Happy Birthday Mira. Mama sayang Mira sangat2. Belajar rajin2 and jangan lupa solat!
