Game of Twister - The cuties

The cuties never failed to amaze me. They are good at giving remarks which I am always caught off guard, asking clever questions and giving justification(more like excuses) when they did something wrong. And one more thing which I have to add to this long list is they are also very creative in inventing games.
Though they have board games accumulated after all the birthday parties they had, computer games and outdoor games, they still love to invent games on their own.
The latest craze is the game of twister minus the twister mat. They were using the mat we have in our house and started playing with other kids in the neighbourhood. One will give instruction like "tangan kiri tapak biru" or "kaki kanan tapak kuning". This will also put their flexibility to a test.
And while I watching them sleeping last night, I was thinking....WHY DO THEY HAVE TO GROW UP SO FAST!!!!

The farewell

Friday was a sad day for the cuties. It was the last day of school for them.

Nope, not because of the school holidays. Takkan emo tak jumper 2 minggu kot?
Actually, Insyallah, when the school term re-opens, they will be starting the new term at the new school here in BSP. The new school is about 500 metres from our home. With this new arrangements, hopefully it will be less hectic and they don't have to wake up at 5.30am on daily basis.

However, being in KJ school for the past few years, made them sad to leave their friends. I came to work a little bit late on Friday as per their request for their photos to be taken with their friend.

My baby morning session is at the religious school and coincedently, they were having Sports Day so it was also some sort like a farewell party for baby.

As for my princess and hero, their morning session is the primary school which organised gotong royong event that morning.
My better half took turns to snap pics for the afternoon session.

It was indeed an emotional day for the cuties. We tried to console them but later we decided to allow them to be sad and go through this phase. In real life, they will have to go through this hence this will be a good "practise" and hopefully make them stronger.

And of course, my parents will still be in KJ so we promised them they can always visit their friends should we are back at KJ.
To that, we saw their smiling faces again.

Friendship has it's price

I wanted to blog about this much earlier but I was really upset back then and I don't want to be overly emotional and start typing crap in my blog...
It has been nearly a week since I heard something with have no basis and truth at all. And this came from a person who I thought was my friend. Not just a normal friend, but a good friend.

The kind of things that was said were so damaging to my career. And how the perception that people have of me. I started with asking why and what's her motive when I heard this but after conversations with my friends, I know there's no point asking all that question. I am a good friend and I have been keeping alot of friends over this year, some have been my friends for the past 28 years!

But, I remembered reading this from mrmanager's blog which I find very enlighting and manage to lift my spirit up!
I've come to the point where so much untruth has been said about me that it really doesn't matter what people want to think about me anymore. As long as I know what really happened, does it matter what people think or say? Like it or not, some people will always hate you no matter what and some people will always love you no matter what. Those who love me don't need my explanation and those who hate me don't care about my explanation. So, baik duduk diam diam, kan?

And what is really important at the end of the day : real friends who don't need your explanation but love you for who you are

There you have it. Not that I want to burn bridges, but what is the point of having a bridge which make you cross to the wrong side of the world. It's not cheap to build a bridge, and there's also maintenance cost tagged to it.

I am taking this very positively. At least, Allah is protecting me by showing me the kind of person my so called friend is and stop me from being further deceived. And with that, I end this entry with Alhamdulilah!

Take a break

I used to be this person who get so caught up with work that I forgot to meet my friends and forgot the fun element.

I will not allow myself to be that person again. I will try with my best effort to balance things in my life and make sure that I take care of myself, physically and psychologically.
So, while busy working on an event in Putrajaya, I thought of meeting one of my friends whom I don't see that often. She works in the area, about few blocks away from our event. So, I thought I just contact her and see whether she is available for lunch. Alhmadulilah, she was available.
Azwa, is a person whom I have known for the last 5 years. She was my intern back on my previous company and she is still close to me until now. I guess some people know how to be grateful while some would stab you the moment they can even to the extend of biting the hands that was feeding you. I'm over that I will let Allah do His work to get back at this person...I will not interfere with Allah's work.
Anyway, she picked us up(Andy wanted to join us, so oklah tu!) at around 12.30pm(sorry kena tunggu k liza, nak habiskan keje skit) and she took us to Alamanda. I wanted to continue eating healthy so we decided to have lunch at Kenny Rogers, coincedently, both of us are on diet. As for Andy, he has no choice but to follow jer lah kan.
It's good to catch up with Wa. I am so proud of her achievement. I wanted for her to be part of my team, but I guess her rezeki was not that and Allah has given her something better.
My only wish Wa will meet the right person who will love and take care of her cause she really deserve to get a good person to be her life partner. Wa is a nice person and she deserve a nice individual!

A green wedding

I declared last weekend another wedding weekend. Why? We were invited to 4 weddings but decided to go to only 3 since the third one memang betul2 tak sempat. On Saturday, we headed to Taman Muda, in Pandan Indah for the first wedding
This wedding is quite special as it is also the reunion for me and my ex-colleagues from Maxis. I used to work there for nearly 4 years right after I completed my studies. We haven't seen each other for quite some time. Infact, for nearly 9 years.
The traffic that day was not kind to us. It was quite bad and we were stuck at MRR 2 for nearly an hour. Perut dah ler lapaq!

At last, we arrived at the venue. The weather was nice and warm. The theme for the wedding is white and green, looks like going back to nature with all the potted plants hanging at the corners for the canopies.

The arch, the cuties loved this.

The cuties with the bride, my ex-colleagues.

One down, 2 more wedding to go tomorrow.

Now it's my turn

Another major milestones accomplished! Had the housewarming cum Raya Open house yesterday and Alhamdulilah, everything went well.

Yup, all food were cooked by us. Not outsourcing. The kuih, however, is courtesy of my mom who was kind enough to make 4 types of kuih for this occasion.

For those who came, thanks so much and sorry if layanan tak seberapa.

For those who got the house tour, sorry for the mess yer. Memang tak sempat nak kemas properly. The night before the event, slept at 4am and woke up again 2 hours later.

For those who took photos, puhleaaaaassssseeee, share this with me cause I did not get the chance to take any photos at all!!!

And now it's my turn to terjah open house org since we missed quite a number due to the preparation of our open house....finally!

The sweet and sour of marriage

I had a long night yesterday, consoling a good friend of mine, my friend whom I know for the last 20 years of my life, back when we were in primary school.
I always thought that she has a perfect life; a husband who adores her, 3 cute and lovely children, a nice home, a good career and blessed with good looks and all...I guess some people are very good at hiding things and acting like nothing has happened.
Last night, she called me....crying and sobbing, so I drove to her house...
Then only I know, how she has been suffering for the past few years. How her so called perfect husband was giving her emotional abuse and making her feel miserable practically everyday...and how she has been crying and crying until her whole body hurts...
Her husband has been picking on her and everything she does is wrong. She has been accused of being a wife who does not perform her responsibilities, a bad mother and the lists went on and went...
Last night, all hell broke loose. They had a big fight, so big that they woke up the whole house. Even the kids. My friend's job nature requires her to travel every now and then and this time she will need to go to a destination. And coincedently, the destination that she is going to, she knows someone there, an ex-colleague. So, she sms him and told him about her trip and maybe she can see her then, after such a long time.
Little did she knows, her husband has been constantly checking on her phone, checking her smses, her call logs and other stuff. He was furious when he got to know this and accused her of cheating on him. That's when she lost it and the fight broke...which ended with him storming out of the house...
And why I rushed there, cause she told me she is about to take her own life, she just couldn't take it anymore....and she knew with all the money and assets that she has, her children will be well taken care off.
We cried together the whole night and I stayed to make sure that she would not do anything stupid...And before I left, I called her mother to accompany her...
Then, the what if starts to roll on my mind, what it I did not arrive on time, what if she did what she wanted to do and her kids woke up only to find that their mom whom they adore so much has taken her own life...
And what if this happen to me............................

Back to school

I love my school years particularly when I was in Form 2 and Form 3. Those 2 years were the best years of my schooling life. The time where rock rules and we listen to Guns and Roses, Metallica, Poison, Skid Row and many more. The time where we couldn't care less about what's going on in the world and friends were everything.
I love dancing. I always have and still do. Only now, I am doing it very discreetly, takut ada yg tekejut tgk an overweight woman terkinja2 with the fats vibrating just by making very simple moves. But, still, I love dancing...
For those who have been staying in the PJ and kawasan2 yg sewaktu dgn nyer...u must know this place...not sure though whether this still exists.
Picadilly(known as Picad and pronounced as PIKED)
Tea dance, the legal form of entertainment for those below 18. This place is a disco but for the underage visitor, they have it around 2pm to 6pm. We dance like crazy. Funny thing was, compared to nowadays children, we don't really care about boys, at least I didn't. We were there just to have fun with friends.
Kent Bowl
This was located in Asia Jaya. Now it's knows as Armada Hotel I think. We love to bowl here. I have this gang, most of them were from Subang Jaya. Most were guys and I was one of the very few girls in the gang. We usually hang out at this place, bowling a game or 2.
Black Widow Studio
Have you jammed before? Bukan otak jam lah, but pegi jamming as in playing musical instruments and pretend that you have a band on your own no matter how suck you know you sound. We have this wannabe rock band called python. Why python? Honestly, I can't remember...Dok jam lagu Wings and Search and many other rock kapak songs. I was the leade vocalist though the boys do tease me that I sound better singing a Sheila Majid song than singing a rock song..AS IF!!!!
Jaya Supermarket
Di sinilah student2 seantero PJ selalu berkumpul, chewah!! And there's this Mc D at the corner. We usually hung out at this arcade center at the top floor before heading to the Mc D for quick bite. During my school years, Mc D was considered as a luxury items. That's is why I dok membebel to the cuties on how fortunate they are, can eat Mc D whenever they feel like it
Subang Parade
Yes, you got that right. I have been hanging out at Subang Parade and still do. Only difference, now with the family..We usually lepak at Grandy's sebab the drink boleh refill. There will be about 8 to 10 of us buying just one large coke. Of course the famous cinnamon bun and porridge. Porridge tu we can take the condiments ourselves so end up the condiments will be more than the porridge...ha ha ha...Until now we wonder, were we one of the contributor for this place to close down???Rasa guilty lak...
I also can't forget the music that I used to listen too...Poison by Bell Div Divoe(yang nie siap masuk dance competition with this sone tau), Vanilla Ice(Ice ice baby dund dung dung dung dung dung), NKOTB( yeah Fahmy you can laugh, I was crazy over Donnie), Tommy Page(who can forget A Shoulder to Cry On) to name a few...
I do wonder what happen to my frens, the one that I always hang out with..Azmir Razaleigh aka Reza, Azmil Malik, Adi Putra Armanti Haniff, Maryam, Aida, Azlina and many more...kalau leh baut reunion balik kan best...
Ahhh..those were the years...
Now, snap back to reality...

Jamboree...without the bonfire!!!

jamboree by definition...a large gathering of members of the Boy Scouts or Girl Scouts, usually nationwide or international in scope

Wanna why I am giving you the definition..

We always have this big staff meeting with the MD once every 3 months. However, to kick off 2008, the mgt have decided to do it differently and call it Jamboree...

At first, I was thinking(and I found out, I am not the only one), jamboree??? I know jamboree is supposed to be associated with this camping gathering and a scout thingy...takpelah, just play along...

It was fun. For the first time, I felt so good about my team. The teamwork potrayed was excellant. Though as usual our prep was last minute one, considering we had an important meeting to Wednesday hence have only a day to prepare...
Tapi, the results were not dissapointing...

And we won this special award for availabity, whatever that means, nevertheless still excited sebab we never won anything..
Picture with eiseai and Cik Puan Ambang, transformer gitew...

Busy busy week

I received this comment from ita.itu,
hi akak comel..x updater ker..hehe
First initial thought...comel ker???

Then, I realised that was not the "isi penting" of the comment...which is why haven't I been updating my blog...

It was and still is very busy week. We have a big event coming up tomorrow and I haven't been getting much sleep for the past few days, in fact on average just about 2 to 3 hours a day. So, kepala memang ting tong sgt!!!

Tetapi, dalam kesibukan mengejar duniawi, we did managed to satisfy our hunger and again we choose to have lunch at the Kari Kepala Ikan Kg Attap. Again, it didn't fail us. Some photos that I wish to share...Enjoy and make a trip there...(you are drooling!!! wipe that sliver lah...)

Posing lepas makan with the full of kekeyangan face

Sudah2 lah Cik Puan Ambang...nak makan pun busy gak!!!

Another busy day

My to do lists are getting longer, not only for work also for home. But, I guess this is the path that I chose and no one have actually forced me to do all this. So, stop complaining, whinning...bla bla bla...

We had our very own unit lunch today. First time ever. We went to the Little Penang in KLCC though someone made the remarks that this place tak kelas langsung. Whatever!!! We really had a good time talking about everything but work and had too much laugh. I just had some Rojak Buah since again...I don't have the apettite to eat.

Jeling lain macam jer, marah ke bos...

Mana lak waiter nie, tak nak ambik order ker???

After that, I need to go to EPF to settle some work and personal related matters. Honestly, I was very nervous to go to EPF. It has been quite sometime I liaised with a government related company and all the previous experieces were scary. Some being screamed at, some being thrown with sarcasm...Yelah, if we know better, we won't be needing all this people around. Ini tanyer jer marah!

But, this trip was really a pleasant one. Everyone was so helpful and very polite. It didn't take me long before I finished submitting my application. Less than an hour in fact! I was very impressed. I requested for William to accompany me since I am very the buta jalan in KL and don't even know where is the EPF office. Once we finished, William buli akak tau!! He wanted me to stand right in the middle of the EPF office and want me to posed. Alah, nie kan untuk blog...that's what he said...

When I came back to the office, another pleasant surprise arrived, a chocolate cake for 2008 was delivered to me. It was from one of the director in my company. She was the one that head hunted me for this current job. She has never failed to give me stuff whenever she goes for her holiday or when she has goodies to share. How sweet of her to still remember me...

I forgot to mention that I bought a book. Part of my new year wish is to read more and stop making excuses that I don't have the time...Like the Astro tag line...I got time!!! This should be my readimg material on my usual ride to and fro via LRT. I will start this new habit with this book called "The Art of War" by Sun Tze. My lecturer have been asking me to read this book and now I am finally doing it...

Let see whether this book really tell us how to win a war without fighting :)...

Before I forget, Selamat Menyambut Maal Hijrah to all. Let's pray that this new year will bring us more blessing and properity(not the burger yer) for now and here after....

thumbprint : William, have a safe trip to Langkawi and remember, that's for work tau! And don't forget to come back

U are so weird!!

I got this statement from a friend of mine whom I have known for ages when I met him for coffee about 2 weeks ago. He was browsing through my pink MP3 player and was surprised by my choice of music. He saw Metallica, Greenday, Skidrow and many more. He thought I have gone pass that phase and only listen to that kind of music during our college years. Considering that I am married with 3 kids(grown up kids mind you!) and already 31 years old, he thought I would change to a more lady like person. When he saw the MP3 player, he thought that I am finally a woman! Till he saw my choice of music...

Well, for those who knows me well, I am only being me and I haven't change that much over the years, that excludes the weight, the fat and also the wrinkles. Behaviour wise, I am still the same 15 years old girl that he knew that loves to go for jamming, plays guitar and listen to heavy rock music.

I still remember during my teenage years, mostly all of my good friends are guys. I always maintained short hair and skirts are totally a no no!!! My parents were worried I will loose the girlish part of me..And another thing about me, I will do what I feel like doing. And I am ok to do it alone. Like sometimes during lunch, if I feel like to do my nails I will, if I feel like watching a movie on Friday I will. And still there are some people that said I can easily be influenced. Try me!!!

I only start to change the way I dress after I got married, fair to say that my better half bring out the woman in me...chewah!!!See, I am normal after all!!!
Yesterday, I decided to become weird again. After having sushi for lunch, I wanted to have desert some where else and I dragged William, GTL and Ms Money Matters to come along...

Lama benor ke nak order ice cream!!!

Work life balance ler konon...makan pun kena ingat pasal keje...

My best friend

I have a best friend. My best friend's name is Fahmy..

Ape kehe nyer bunyik macam karangan budak darjah dua nie...
Anyway, my best friend's name is Fahmy. He may not consider me as his best friend but he is my best friend. We have been friend's since forever! He knows most of the things about me. He knows how ignorant I am on the route to anywhere unless if I have been there like a zillion times. And how clueless I am about technology. The only thing that I know about cars is how gorgeous the car look!
I always turn to Fahmy whenever I need to decide on something. Even when I was about to make the decision whether I should marry my better half, I introduced him to my best friend, once he thought it's ok, I know I have made the right decision. Reason being, it was mandatory for him to check the level of sanity of the person that wish to take me as his life partner.
Besides his craziness over cars, lego, hot wheels and bikes(I learnt from him there is such thing as naked bike), overall he is a normal person.
Not many person can understand me. And he is one of those that can.
My only wish is we stay friends forever. It's hard to find a person that don't judge me and just want to be my friend.

This is Fahmy with my favourite doctor, DHI!

The above pictures were taken during our company's open house. Enjoy the rest of the pictures!
