More pictures of the wedding

Wedding, why do I love wedding.
It has been a dream of mine to have my own business, which relates to event management, more like a wedding planner. I love organising weddings and so far, have organised 4. Weddings are beautiful events and everyone deserve nothing but the best. Perhaps, I didn't get the wedding that I dreamt off, hence I want others to be able to enjoy theirs.

The latest, I organised my brother's in law's wedding back in Batu Pahat.
The "hantaran" that I prepared and proud of them!

During the akad nikah, my baby lost her front teeth just as the tok kadi said aku nikahkan dikau. How ironic is that??

After the akad nikah, dah legal so can pegang2 one!

Organising weddings at kampung are sooo easy. They don't need caterer for the food even to put up the canopies. All are done by the kampung people in the spirit of gotong royong. You just have to be there to experience this. Everyone looked so cheerful, they joked around and really genuinely looked like they are having a blast.

They are some practices done there, which you may not see anymore at the weddings that you have attended. One of those are the "toll" before the groom is allowed to be with the bride at the
"pelamin". There were 5 stops all together until our "rombongan" was out of cash to give. I joked about using my Touch and Go card. There were also silat presentation as a welcome gesture to the groom and his "rombongan". Having karaoke session is a must at every wedding in the kampung and people of all ages will be very sporting to sing. They may not sound like the One in A Million's finalist but not many people have the courage to do that in front of many people.

Here comes the groom

The toll seekers, look out Samy Vellu!

Silat to welcome the groom and the rombongan

We of course want to capture our photo with the Raja SehariThe pair walking towards the Makan Berdamai stageDuring the cake cutting, how romantic!

Sporting giler this mak cik!

After the celebration at the bride's house, we have to start our "sinsing lengan" session since tomorrow will be the celebration at the groom's house. The "gotong royong" started right after the bride's ceremony. If you notice, the work force consists of the same group of people. I forgot to mention, my brother was married to the "anak dara kampung sebelah". Many people took turn to stay up the whole nite, because it is a belief that if the food are not guarded, there will be a "thing" that will disturb and spoil the food. I stayed up till 3am and my better half till 4am. Then followed by his uncles.

Gotong royong to cook the feast

I chose Blue(particularly turqoise) as the theme. The groom's close family that consists of my in laws, the sibblings, the nieces and nephews wear some like" uniform" that of course coincide with the whole theme colour. Again, more gotong royong action...The man will be in charge of the dishes and topping up of food while the ladies in charge of the drinks and giving away food and bunga telur for all the guests. My brother thought that he is too old to "dipersandingkan" hence we only did the "makan berdamai". We decided to make a difference and have a lucky draw event for the "penanggah" (the helper).

Blue is everywhere..

My better half acted as the head usherer

My better half giving speeches on behalf of the family. My baby wondering " apa yang papa membebel nie?"

All and all, in was a good event, despite the weather was on ourside. About 2 thousand guests came(based on the balance food left). We were of course exhausted however, happy that everything turn out well!!!
