What I bought @ Macy Warehouse Sale

Let me begin this entry with a sad story...

I called prior to going to this sale. As mentioned earlier, we have lots of destination on Saturday, so we thought this will be our final destination for the day. I called the number printed and the lady told me, it will end at 9pm.

We arrived at this place at 6.15pm and were told it was closing in 15 minutes time. It closes at 6pm actually but extended to another 30 minutes since the que to pay was long. So, we have only 15 minutes to shop. Mana cukup!!!!

I only managed to get this 6 small cushions with 4 small cushion covers at RM6.90(normal price RM15.90 each) and RM1.99 each(normal price RM10.90 each) respectively. I went into the car with my monyok face since I wanted to see the whole sale. My better half knowing my unhappiness, promised me we will come here again early tomorrow morning, around 10am, right after this sale starts. Thanks sayang, you know your wife too well!

The next morning, after breakfast, we went straight to this sale. The venue, before I forget, was in Balakong. About 4km from Mines Shopping Center.

What else did we buy....

This tall vase made from wood with this small branches to decorate it. The vase cost RM59(normal price RM96) and the branches cost RM5 each bunch(normal price RM11.90). This one will be placed at the main living room corner.

This lampshade RM30 each(normal price RM90). This will go into the master bedroom.


This bamboo blind, the small one cost RM15 each(normal price RM30) and the big one RM29.90 each(normal price RM49.90). This one will be for the bathroom in the master bedroom and the kitchen window.
This teastrainer and set of 5 chopsticks at RM2(normal RM5.90 each)

Potpouri and the glass container, potpuri at RM4 each(normal price RM11.90 each pack) glass container RM11.70(normal price RM49.90). The candle was bought earlier at IKEA. Also for the master bedroom.

I was looking for a one seater sofa for my reading chair to be placed in our bedroom, some sort like English style, similar to the one in Laura Ashley(but not the price yer!) and found it here, cost RM199 each. But, transportation alone cost RM80 so, total RM280. I saw something like that in Cavenzi for RM200 with transportation FOC, so, better get that one instead.

Some comments on the sale :

1. They should open more counter, at this sale that I went to earlier, the que was longer, but the waiting time was shorter cause in one que, there are 4 payment counters, so, lagi cepat ler...

2. They should train their cashiers to be more efficient. One counter have about 3 people to manned it, but, seriously, I don't understand the role of the other 2 people at the counter, takkan sorang bukak plastic and the other one masukan barang...

3. I would like to praise the way the organiser gave direction to this sale. Putting up big signages were a great help since the area is quite secluded.

Other than that, it was worth it to go to this sale...

Come to think of it, I thought of opening another blog just to put the food and warehouse review...What do you think??
