In aid of the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, a two-day charity bazaar to raise funds will be held on:
Date: 7 & 8 February 2009 (Saturday & Sunday)
Time: 10:00 am – 5:00 pm (Saturday) and 9:00 am – 5:00 pm (Sunday)
Venue: Bangsar Shopping Centre (West Concourse Area)
This charity bazaar is organised by Puan Sri Shaesta Said and Dr. Zubeda Khan in association with MERCY Malaysia, and funds raised will be channeled to support MERCY's medical and humanitarian services in Gaza.
Currently, MERCY Malaysia has deployed 12 medical and four (4) non-medical volunteers and dispatched four (4) consignments of medical supplies and disposables worth USD 470,000 consisting of rehabilitation medical equipment, wheelchairs, crutches, incubators, surgical sets and disposable items including syringes, intravenous infusions and bandages.

Apart from the charity bazaar, there will also be other activities like health check ups, tennis games/coaching with a coach, second hand and new luxury items for sale, international food stalls and many more.
