Cekodok pisang

Last night was the cekodok pisang night. We bought some banana few days earlier and before this banana start to spoil, we thought of making the cekodok pisang.
Before you ask, below are the ingredients :
Flour
Bananas
Sugar
Baking powder
Once you have mix all this, just let it sit for a while before frying them.
The nice, hot and fluffy cekodok pisang. Best eaten while it's hot!
This is my hero's favourite food by the way.

Resepi lempeng and karipap

To respond to my lovely normalies of the above, let me present you the recipes for the 2 items :
Very simple. Just flour, water and salt. Add just a bit of baking powder and then mix this all together. What I usually do, I will put this in the blender and blend it, so that they are perfectly mixed.
Make sure the mixture it's not too thin or thick. Just do it as per your personal preference.
The dough - Mix flour, margerine and one egg together. If you wish to add water, just a little bit of it cause too much of it will effect the crispiness. Then, make thin layers of this and once the filling is ready, just put a small portion there. Not too much, it will burst when you fry it.
The filling aka inti - Cut potatoes into cubes. Then, blend shallots, garlic and ginger. Heat the oil and then put in the blended items. Once "naik bau" add the curry powder and wait till it's really cook. Then add in the potatoes and the shredded chicken. Cook it until the potatoes is soft enough.
vagg - akak tak pandai ler kelim tu dik, akak pakai the pembuat karipap tu je.
Selamat mencuba!

Masak Time - Sup Tulang

My better half was craving for Sup Tulang, the authentic one that I always make for him back then when we have our own house...sob sob sob...
So, I decided to cook this over the weekend. Woke up early to the nearest pasar tani and purchase some tulang...over here we can always get fresh ones...
Please be reminded, cooking sup tulang is not the same as cooking other type of soups...it requires a lot of patience and time
First, you need to boil the tulang for about 20 minutes. While waiting for that, you can prepare the rest of the ingredients ; rempah tumis and sup bunjut, potatoes, carrot and celery. Also, grind the shallots, garlic and ginger.
Then, put in some cooking oil in a different pot. Once it is hot enough, put in the grind ingredients and rempah tumis. Cook it until it become golden brown.
Put in the potatoes, carrot and celery with the sup bunjut. Wait for about 5 minutes and then add water. After about 10 minutes, put in the tulang and add more water.
Here is the patience part, you have to cook this for at least 5 hours so that the meat become tender and separated from the bones. Otherwise, the meat will be so hard, gigi pun boleh tanggal lor...
One tip, add salt only once the soup is ready to be served. Otherwise, the salt will be the cause for the meat not to be tender enough.
We ate this with french loaf(No, I did not bake any, bought the from the bakery). It was so good to the extend I forgot to take any picture :)
Some ask me, how can we make cooking delicious...and my answer has always been what i have learnt from my arwah grandma....You need to cook from the heart....
