For heaven sake cut the damn red tape!

I was and am really annoyed. We are trying to apply for the cuties school's transfer and none of the authorised parties are willing to make it easier on us.
We have filled up the forms, attached all the requested documents and even went to the new school's office to get more info, and none of those people told us we can only send the application withing 2 weeks before the effective date. It our case, we are requesting for the transfer to take effect 15/6/2009, the day we were told the school would open. Hence, we were told we can only send the application earliest 2/6/2009. What's with this 2 weeks regulation. Why can't they just process the application and just impletement the effective date. Is that so hard?

And no one can give us a straight answer. Both the school and the officer in the Pejabat Pelajaran have something against each other and this make it difficult for us the parents. We can't the taking leave everytime....

No wonder those living abroad prefer to stay there. Here, too many red tapes, too many procedures which are not people friendly when I thought the government's role is to serve the people...For those who have done this, can you please share with me your experience. Better yet, if you work with the Ministry, by all means, please explain the rationale of the 2 weeks rules so that I can understand this better.

No point arguing...Guess we just have to make another trip to the Pejabat Pelajaran and hopefully this time will be our last trip there. Too many of this inconvenience can really make my blood go upstairs!
