The cuties first day at the new school

The day the school opens for the new term was the day my cuties started theri first day in the new school. Well, not the school @ BSP, getting frustrated with Pejabat Pendidikan moving the dates suka hati they all jer and giving all type of excuses whenever they can't meet the deadline.
The cuties refused to go back to their old school since their friends and teachers had organised farewell party and gave them presents. So it will be too embarassing to show their faces there again.
The lastest info received, the new school will open on the 29 June. Due to only for 2 weeks the cuties will be at this current school, my parents told me not to send them to nursery just yet. This school has 2 sessions and my baby will be alone in the afternoon session and of course will be alone in the nursery so they will be staying with us until the BSP school opens on 29 June.
I was as usual, nervous and hoping the cuties will adapt well to the new environment and new schedules. We made the necessary arrangements including logistics.
Alhamdulilah, all went very well. And just got the confirmation, the BSP school will open on the 29 June. Again, alhamdulilah for this...
Now, have to change the routine again..........

And they survived their first day.....

Today is the first day the cuties went to school using the school van. The complication start due to my princess and my hero are in the morning session while my baby the afternoon session. It's quite nerve wrecking at least to me having to work and at the same time thinking whether they have reach home safely and whether my baby did not miss the van. Alhamdulilah, my parents share the same worry and will be staying at our home for the next 2 weeks, just to make sure the cuties have familiarise with this new routine.

I woke up at the usual time, 5am to cook lunch and prepare breakfast for the whole house. I also took some food to work knowing it will be a hectic day at work.We only left for work once all are settled.

Nevermind my dad started this paranoid thingy where he followed the van after baby was picked up from our home. Nevermind my mom gave me this lecture on security and how this could effect the cuties if it's not really taken care off. Nevermind I have marked in my outlook calendar the time I need to call them to make sure everyone reach home safely. The bottom line is everything went well...

One day down, hundreds more days to go!

The farewell

Friday was a sad day for the cuties. It was the last day of school for them.

Nope, not because of the school holidays. Takkan emo tak jumper 2 minggu kot?
Actually, Insyallah, when the school term re-opens, they will be starting the new term at the new school here in BSP. The new school is about 500 metres from our home. With this new arrangements, hopefully it will be less hectic and they don't have to wake up at 5.30am on daily basis.

However, being in KJ school for the past few years, made them sad to leave their friends. I came to work a little bit late on Friday as per their request for their photos to be taken with their friend.

My baby morning session is at the religious school and coincedently, they were having Sports Day so it was also some sort like a farewell party for baby.

As for my princess and hero, their morning session is the primary school which organised gotong royong event that morning.
My better half took turns to snap pics for the afternoon session.

It was indeed an emotional day for the cuties. We tried to console them but later we decided to allow them to be sad and go through this phase. In real life, they will have to go through this hence this will be a good "practise" and hopefully make them stronger.

And of course, my parents will still be in KJ so we promised them they can always visit their friends should we are back at KJ.
To that, we saw their smiling faces again.

For heaven sake cut the damn red tape!

I was and am really annoyed. We are trying to apply for the cuties school's transfer and none of the authorised parties are willing to make it easier on us.
We have filled up the forms, attached all the requested documents and even went to the new school's office to get more info, and none of those people told us we can only send the application withing 2 weeks before the effective date. It our case, we are requesting for the transfer to take effect 15/6/2009, the day we were told the school would open. Hence, we were told we can only send the application earliest 2/6/2009. What's with this 2 weeks regulation. Why can't they just process the application and just impletement the effective date. Is that so hard?

And no one can give us a straight answer. Both the school and the officer in the Pejabat Pelajaran have something against each other and this make it difficult for us the parents. We can't the taking leave everytime....

No wonder those living abroad prefer to stay there. Here, too many red tapes, too many procedures which are not people friendly when I thought the government's role is to serve the people...For those who have done this, can you please share with me your experience. Better yet, if you work with the Ministry, by all means, please explain the rationale of the 2 weeks rules so that I can understand this better.

No point arguing...Guess we just have to make another trip to the Pejabat Pelajaran and hopefully this time will be our last trip there. Too many of this inconvenience can really make my blood go upstairs!

The cuties Sports Day

After having to wake up early on Saturday, I still need to wake up early on Sunday. This time to attend the cuties Sports Day. All 3 were in involved, my baby in her Sukaneka and my princess and my hero both in 4X100 relay race. My hero was also involved in the opening marching event.
We took them for breakfast, we don't want them not to have energy to perform. The last thing we need was for the cuties to passed out in the middle of the field.
We arrived just in time. The event was about to start and my hero ran to take his place in the marching event. He is in the Red House.
My baby got first in her event and she was very happy about it. Me, being a "tak tau malu" mom, was shouting, screaming and jumping to cheer her to the finish line.
Too bad for my hero and my princess. Their team did not make it. Relay race is about team work, even if you are a fast runner, you may not win should your team not as fast as you want them to be. But I told them not to give up and try harder next time.
The verdict ; all of us went back at least 30% darker than our original skin tone...Nyesal tak pakai sun block!

My princess vocal performance

She may not sound good to some but she sounded like an angel to me...Another proud moments beng a mother!!!

Princess Nasyid's Competition

Another hectic weekend indeed. Just when we thought we can wake up late this weekend, we just have to put that on hold, at least not on Saturday.

The way the day started was very funny. In the letter from my princess's school stated the venue of the event will be at Sekolah Alam Shah and did not indicate where is the school. And I thought it was the school located in Putra Jaya.
The event was supposed to start at 8am and we arrived right in front of the school 5 minutes before 8am. The school was pretty quiet, like nothing is happening in the school. We asked the guard and he has no clue what event we are talking about. My princess not having any contact numbers of the teachers or her friends was certainly no helping. I then decided to call the school and alhamdulilah somebody answered. But the person was not sure where exactly the event was at so she gave me the ustazah's hubby's phone number(that's what she declared to school...shish!). Called the hubby and finally got hold of the ustazah's number. Then only I got to know.....The school is actually Sekolah Alam Shah 2 in PETALING JAYA NOT PUTRA JAYA!!! Haiyooo, jauh tu. Sempat ke sampai before the contest start.
If there is anytime I am glad people are not punctual, this will be the time. We arrived around 9.15am and the event hasn't even started. As usual, waiting for the VIP to arrive to launch the event....Lama giler tu...We even get to have breakfast at the school's canteen.

The event went very well. Though my princess did not win anything, I am so happy and proud of her. Was holding my tears when she was doing her solo. Never thought she has so much of self confidence...My hero and my baby were also amazed with their sister's performance. Duduk pun first class, right in front of the stage.

We allowed the cuties to go back to school via the school bus. They wanted to do that so badly so, don't want to dissapoint. We then picked them up at school.
On the way back home, mentally doing the checklists of things to do...Banyak nyer..

Lookout for the next entry, my princess doing her solo!

Kepingin Ikan Bakar pulak!

Last week was a tiring week. Of courselah, that was the first week of school and at the same time my first week of work after a long leave. Let me just give you a brief over view the things that we have to go through on daily basis.
5am
I will be the first person to wake up. Quickly, I start to do laundry and then cook for the cuties lunch, at the same time prepare breakfast and their bekal. My better half would take his bath first and make the bed. On his way down, he will then wake the cuties up, usually no later than

5.30am
The cuties will have their breakfast and my better half will tengok2kan what's on the stove while I will go up to take my bath pulak.

6am
Right after azan, we perform our subuh prayer and then leave the house. Latest at 6.15am, drive to KJ, 40km away and total toll expenses RM5.10
7am
My better half will send the cuties to school then me to LRT station. We will first drop by my parents' house to send lunch and other stuff.
5.30pm
I will rush to the lrt station to go back to KJ. Would reach KJ at 6.15am the latest. My better half will pick the cuties from school and then me from LRT station. Then drive another 40km and toll this time is RM5.30.
7pm
Reach BSP. The cuties will bath and perform maghrib prayers while I will be preparing dinner. The cuties will do their homework and wait for me to bath and pray. Then, dinner together
8.30pm
The cuties will perform their Isya' prayer and then off to bed while Papa and Mama get ready for tomorrow. We usually got to be around 11pm.
That's life Monday to Friday except public holidays...
Now you know why we are so exhausted. Last Friday, to celebrate our victory for getting through the first week, my better half rewarded us with dinner since I have benn pestering him for ikan bakar. Again, we went to Village View in BBB.
For the rest of the entry...let the picture do the story telling.........
And, it's about 3 days to the weekend...and counting....

No school fees?

For those who went to their kids school on their first day, did you experience not having to pay the fees, at least not yet. We were early to avoid the que from paying the school fees. The que was quite bad last year.
But, we were told that we don't have to pay anything and the school fees will need to be paid only in March. Apparently, they haven't decided how much to charge the parents...hmmmm....
So, the hectic life begun. The cuties has to be sent to school separately. My princess and my hero are in morning session while my baby in the afternoon session. So, the first day was quite tiring, we first have to go to the morning session, then rushed to the religious school to send my baby and to pay the fees and then go back to school later for the afternoon session.
Alhamdulilah, everything went smoothly. No major hiccups.
And alhamdulilah, the cuties are now used to the new schedule. They have yet to give us problems to wake up in the morning and have been diligently doing their homework and other house chores. I guess they finally understand the tight timing we have and everyone has to work together to ensure everything is fine.
But, too soon to tell kan? Yelah, kan baru first week :)

The beginning

Today is the first day of school for 2009.
My princess is in Standard 5
My hero in Standard 4
and My baby in Standard 2
Why am I nervous?
Since the school in BSP has yet to open and ntah biler nak bukak, the cuties will still be schooling in KJ. Means we will be commuting from BSP to KJ on daily basis which can be very taxing for the cuties. I don't really care how tired I will be, my concern would be of the cuties.
So, we really have to plan carefully. To save cost, I will be taking the LRT as usual from KJ instead of driving to work. Meaning, my better half will be sending the cuties to school then me to the LRT station. We have agreed on that.
Then, another task. I want to make sure I cook for the cuties on daily basis. Meaning I will wake up at 5am cook and then bring that to my mom's house for the cuties to have lunch. I will also prepare take away food for them to eat at school during recess.
Why? Because I want to. I choose to do it. Not to show I am a good mother better than other mothers but because I want to do it. As simple as that. No further explaination required.
So, good luck to all, and best of luck to me...I seriously need it!

Kembali ke sekolah

We have prepared the necessary for the cuties...

School bags - as the cuties are all grown up, they have their own preference for their school bags. So, this are their choices...Notice my hero inherited my passion for football. He wanted a Liverpool school bag! I am so proud of him!

And the uniforms - 3 pairs each. 3 pairs for primary school and 3 pairs for religious school. So, total 6 pairs for each cuties. Grand total - 18 pairs of uniforms need to be ironed on week ly basis...lotih den!
I have also prepared the cuties for school. Al-maklumlah dah lama cuti, so nak bangun pagi liat skit nanti. So, started yesterday, they have to wake up just like normal school days, no TV and started doing revision...
Hopefully 1430/2009 is a better year for the cuties. And I pledged to work extra hard and to be more committed to their studies and other related matters in their life. Work comes and go...Family stays forever!

Baby's proud moment

Last week we attended the cuties prize giving ceremony. All 3 were involved, however, I was so tired, I was not aware the camera was not fully charged and the batteries were about to go flat.
I only managed to take baby's photos. The rest of the event, the batteries were not working so tak dapek den nak menolong....
Baby was very happy at the same time sad cause she is leaving her friends and start her new life in a new school. I hope she will be able to adapt to the new environment, somehow, knowing her selamba attitude, I don't see she will encounter any problems in that area.
Hoping for another successful year for the cuties for many years to come.

Salam Merdeka

While we are busy moving, the cuties still has to go to school. Just let mama and papa handle this moving thingy ok sayang??
They were actually quite excited to go to school considering there is no school actually, just a Merdeka celebration. Last night, we were reminded several times to purchase the Jalur Gemilang for this purpose...

I was told they were colouring contest and other fun stuff happening.

It's good the school is educating the children the meaning of Merdeka and for them to learn to appreciate the independence. Hopefully, they will grow up and be the future leaders in Malaysia, which is obviously a scarce resource...towardss extinction kan?

Report Card Day

I was not well yesterday. Couldn't sleep the whole nite, the usual. So, when I tried to wake up that morning, was so tired and having a splitting headache. Went to see the doctor at a clinic near my house. Got the day off...
Normally, people would go home and sleep...But, not me. Life schedule will continue. I arrived home at 6.30am and continued to make breakfast for the cuties. And today is the report card day! So, sleeping so far is not in the early morning itinerary.

I arrived at the cuties school close to 8am. For this morning, it'll be for my princess and my hero. Alhamdulilah, the result were not that bad. As for my princess, she did very well, she got 2nd in her class and overall standard 4. My hero also did not do too bad, Top 10 in class, but I think he was quite upset since his sister is way better than him...I told him he still have time to improve that during the final term exam and he said that exactly what he'll do. I love to see this kind of healthy competition. I choose not to put pressure on them, for me, we can motivate but the kids have to have their own initiatives as well.

I arrived home around 10am and went straight to bed. My mom told me not to worry about lunch and asked me to rest.
Around 12.30pm. Left for my baby's school. She is in the afternoon session. She had chicken pox during the exam period and took it after everyone else. Since she didn't have the luxury of time, she had to sit for 2-3 papers a day. That was the explanation the teacher gave me as the teacher predicted she got first in her class, instead she got 6 which I think it's good enough.
I still don't feel good, so heading to my personal doctor shortly!
