My better half usually would pay the zakat fitrah as early as the first day of Ramadhan. But, this year, we were a bit delayed. No, not because we were too busy doing things for the new house but we wanted to bring the cuties along to watch this event. At least, when they grow up, they would know the important and the significance of paying zakat.
We still pay our zakat at KJ not BSP yet since we still earn our living at KJ. Next year, maybe at BSP.
My better half decided to pay more than the mandatory amount considering the rezeki that we received was more than what we needed. Alhamdulilah.
I have also given a task to insert the duit raya to the raya envelope. They were very excited to do it and finished it within 20 minutes! Either they were fast or I am not giving out as much duit raya as others do.
Life was tough before, 5-6 years back, we could not even afford to give duit raya to others. We have always been the one receiving. Sometimes it's kind of embarassing for us, but we seriously couldn't afford it. Even for baju raya, I only bought it for the cuties and none for us. Again, we are not complaining, we do know our priorities.
