My click here, here and here entry!

Ooooo.... korang mengata aku yer....
Yelah, akak ada blog ke???
Anyway, wanted to have this entry earlier however, time is just not on myside nowadays. As much as I tried to manage and adjust here and there, I got to admit, I still need more than 24 hours a day. Don't we all.
If it's not too late, I want to put on record I had a great Raya. Been to many open houses, the last weekend of Raya was 13 Saturday and Sunday combined. We went to many places, and tried our best to attend all the invites except for the day Adik got engaged.
The last one was at lil^red's Open House which I got to meet my blogger friends. And I am so proud I succumbed to all the sarcasm and remarks menusuk kalbu about the "activeness" of my blog. Then, they asked me when do I plan to blog about this very soon after the even. "Alah, akak buat ler click here, here and here entry!".
Sampai sudah, baru ler nak buat. So here's my click here, here, here, here and here entry for the happenings of the event. And dapat member baru, so apa lagik, click here lah!
At least akak nie takde ler truk macam click here yang nie....Hahahaha!!!
Anyway, will try to be more dilligent in future. Tak larat ler kena perli!!!

Raya 2009 - Family Potrait

This pics were taken when we came back from Batu Pahat, the 4th Raya and we had this Raya gathering @ our house in BSP. All of us were there, the first pics were everyone is in the picture.
My parents, my 2 brothers and their family and of course my better half with the cuties.
And this is all the grandchildren my parents have. Of course there's Anis's mother(Iwan's wife) to hold Anis.
Now you know why I did not blog at all during Raya. I was really enjoying myself and this is one of the best raya I ever had!

Hari Raya 2009 - The Snapshots of theme colour

It's a norm for us to have 2 colour theme for each Raya. Once for the first day and another one for the second day. We would usually let the cuties decide what colour they would want as the theme and this year they had chosen green and pink.

I love how all the baju raya turn out. Love the colour combination our family had, similar yet with distinctive difference.
Hope it's not too late to wish Selamat Hari Raya and Maaf Zahir Batin!

Macam2 Makan Raya

Raya, any Raya is the day where you eat and eat and eat, nothing else but eat. I am so thankful I did not over do it this time around. In most circumstances, memang makan macam tak hingat!
I have to keep on reminding myself, I have lost about 3 kg and that took a lot of effort, let's not spoil it just because I can't overcome my temptation.
My mom in-law cooked the normal ketupat nasi impit and other food related to this. I am so thankful to have a very understanding mom in-law who loves to pamper me. Whenever I go back to Batu Pahat, she usually would ask me to rest, she keep on saying I have worked hard to earn a living at the same time maintaining the family, so bila balik kampung she insist I rest. So, she will do the cooking and serving. But, rasa bersalah gak kan, I will still be in the kitchen. Dah nama pun duduk kampung, harus ler ada yang mengata kalau menantu tak jenguk dapur.
Right after the Qurban, my mom in-law cooked sup tulang. This food suited with the weather, it was cold as it rained non stop satu hari satu malam. Memang sedap makan dgn sambal kicap. Terangkat!
The next day, when we were back at our house, we woke up early to beraya at my mom's house. No prizes for guessing, of course there's more food involved. Apa lagik, makan ler...My mom cooked ketupat, kuah kacang and rendang. Sedap!!!
But, the weird thing about our family, usually during Raya, we would want to eat something else besides the typical ketupat rendang. So, we had some food at a Mamak place at Parit Raja. The cuties wanted western food so they had chicken chop and lamb chop to be shared. Myself and my better half just had a drink. I wanted maggi soup, ada ke patut kedai mamak tak de maggi soup, very the not so mamak kan?
Raya oh Raya, nasib baik ler setahun 2 kali, if sebulan sekali, sebesar belon ler badan nie kan?

Qurban@Batu Pahat - The sequel

While celebrating this, we got to witness(at least the cuties and my better half did, I was a total chicken!) That's the beauty celebrating Raya Qurban at my better half's hometown, the Qurban will be done within your house compound.
Before Qurban is done, usually it will start with a simple Doa Selamat, food served will be sweet delicacies like Pulut with Kelapa and Gula Merah, cakes and of course, the ever favourite Apam. My better half's has been craving for the Pulut Gula Merah for quite sometime. That explains tak nyempat2 tangan nak makan, sampai ambik gambar pun tangan enter frame.
Then, the whole Qurban ceremony started. Jatuhkan lembu dulu baru boleh sembelih yer adik2.
I choose not to publish the photos while the cow is being slaughtered. I felt it was too explicit and too scary. Then again, I am a chicken! So, this is when the whole cow was being cut and ready to be distributed to the org2 kampung. This was done in the rain, it was raining non-stop since the day before.
Come to think of it, I felt sad Raya Qurban felt like just any other day. As A Muslim, I felt it should be celebrated if not more at least similar to Raya Puasa. Felt insulted gak, Christmas is so far away and the shopping malls have started with the Christmas celebrations instead. Can't they just do one ceremony after another. But then again, kalau orang Islam sendiri pun buat dek to celebrate Raya Qurban, what do we expect from others kan? We are getting really ignorant, I guess...
Don't be offended yer, it's just my personal thoughts!

Qurban@Batu Pahat

I am currently @ Batu Pahat, this year it's my better half's hometown for this celebration. Again, no issue, we just follow the schedule.

We were since yesterday. I have 2 new nephews the past one week. One is the first child of my brother in law and the latest the third child of my sister in law. Both were born at Hospital Batu Pahat. Just managed to visit one, will visit the other tomorrow, Insyallah!

Tried to upload more stories, but the internet here is not better than the one in KL so, stories are ready but picture can't be uploaded.

Will try again tonite. Just finished helping my mom in-law's preparing the food to be served tomorrow.

There will be 3 Korban exercise to be conducted tomorrow. Here, it's different. If in KL, Korban is done in mosques but here, if you are the one doing the Korban, the cow or goat will be slaughtered right in front of your house. It's more meriah here as well.

If I am still not able to be connected to the net later tonite, please accept Selamat Hari Raya Aidil Adha for us. Have fun celebrating it without neglecting the reason it is being celebrated!

Why Selamat Hari Raya

Many were wondering, why am I wishing Selamat Hari Raya in the last 2 entries. Actually, to cut the story short, I just got the time to celebrate my second Raya after alhamdulilah, managed to complete puasa 6. It was supposed to last Tuesday but did not get the time to cook for that. So, Sunday was a better choice to celebrate this though the Raya has ended.
I cooked nasi impit, rendang ayam and sambal kacang. I wanted to add kuah lontong but my better half told me, "nanti, banyak2 nie sapa nak makan?". Yup, there's only 5 of us so too much food may cause a wastage. Even this much dish that I cooked lasted till dinner.
I've always tried to fast during Syawal month, both for puasa ganti and puasa 6. I know myself. If I start to procrastinate on the puasa ganti, it will drag till the next Syawal. That time baru ler terhegeh2 nak replace the puasa.
Anyway, it was a good small Raya celebration with the cuties though as you can see, the monyok faces while having the meals. This was because I yelled at them for keep on fighting in front of the rezeki. And they were fighting for a specific chair at the dining hall when there's enough chair for everyone. Then, I start to give a long lecture about how they should appreciate and take care of each other. Also, they only have to come down and eat while I was the one doing the cooking and yet they were the one complaining. I was going on and on and on till my better half told me in a very very nice soothing voice, "I think they got your point".
As a mother, it's depressing to see your children fight in front of you. I keep on wondering what will happen when I'm gone, seen to many "drama swasta" on sibbling rivalry and even live versions and that really freak me out.
Chewah, entry that's supposed to be a ceria entry dah jadik entry emo pulak. Anyway, after that, everything went back to normal and we really enjoyed the meal.
And less than an hour, another fight broke....Penatlah Mama macam nie....

Opening of Phase 7 Surau, BSP

Last weekend, there was a ceremony going at BSP. It was a Raya Get Together (bukan raya dah abis ke) and to officiate the starting of the construction of the new surau for our area. We read the circulation but not in detail. We only took note on the date and time. We missed the part you need to wear baju kebangsaan for the event.
End up we wore casual clothing while my princess and my baby wore dresses. It was quite awkward cause 99% of the attendees adhered to the dress code. And that 1% was us...hihihi...
The residents were briefed on the development of the new surau by the assigned contractor. Based on the presentation, looks canggih ler...
There were some jamuan right after the briefing but we decided to give that a miss since we are having our own event at home....
Again, I got 3 words for you...SELAMAT HARI RAYA!!!!

Finale of Raya Open Houses

Last weekend was "shutdown from work weekend" for me. I just need to unwind myself and forget the backstabbing and cut throat corporate world. Forget the politicking and how to survive and depends solely on your work quality rather than sucking up to the relevant parties. For those who has access to my FB would know, I am ready to face the devil today! Insyallah, Allah will be on myside...
Anyway, last weekend was also the final weekend for Raya hence the final weekend for all the Raya open houses. Yet, we continue to receive invites. Saturday, we have 6 invites and Sunday 4 invites. We need to let go the Sunday invites though, need to go back to Batu Pahat to attend to a family matter.
The cuties also have their own open house to go to. Imagine, they are really growing up. Soon, they will spending the Raya with their friends rather than family...nie yg start emo nie...
I did not snap many photos, just wanna enjoy all the visits to all the friends and relatives houses instead. The traffic, again, was bad....But, jgn lupe, I am not the only one nak beraya...
Alhamdulilah, we managed to cover all houses, 3@BSP, 2@KJ and 1@ShahAlam... Kira ok ler tu...
We rushed to the Macy Warehouse Sale right after all this visits. Thanks nae for the sms, that really excite me to start another shopping spree....
The cuties, cepat skit makan, Mama needs shopping therapy!!!

Raya@MO

After rushing back from this event, we had to attend another Open House, this time it's our company open house held at Mandarin Oriental. The traffic was really bad, we ended up reaching office after one hour journey walhal the place was very near to the next venue...letih akak tau!!
Most of my workmates were there already. I was full so did not eat anything here. Just socialising and having a good time with my friends. Many familiar faces from other companies as well. A meriah event indeed.
Actually, loads of photo taken durimg this event but not from my camera. So far, received only one, thanks yer anon for sending this photo to me...Cantik ler I masa nie, good camera you have there ;)...
So exhausted when I reached home...alangkah best kalau boleh trus beradu, too bad still have lots of house chores that need to be attended too....

Raya@Bukit Jelutong

After Bangsar, next stop was to Bukit Jelutong. The traffic again was testing our patience and I keep on telling myself, bukan we all je nak beraya. Others on the road pun nak beraya gak kan!
This Open House was together with housewarming so we dropped by Subang Parade to get a housewarming gift for the host. We got her a some sort of painting that can be hung on the wall. Hope she likes it. Lupe ler pulok nak ambik gambo...
The Open House was grand. Siap ada kambing golek BBQ tu. A kind of Open House I don't think I can afford just yet.
The house was so beautiful. They even have a garden in the middle of the house. According to my friend, it comes in a package when they purchase the house. They were given about 10 types of design for the garden and then the developer will do the necessary.
We were so full, so, we thought of skipping the other 2 houses and just go to the last one in BSP. This was the Open House of our front door neighbour, so tak leh avoid ler...No pics taken for this sebab muka masing2 dah macam really exhausted....Just wanted to crash on the bed and be done with it!!!
And what make it worse, esok keje and the cuties got exams...TENSEN!!!

Raya@Bangsar, Restoran Rebung

Sunday morning!!!!

We started our day early. We knew we are going to be out the whole day today. Hence, we woke up early to do some house cleaning.

Since it was already 18th Days of Raya, I suggested for us to wear casual clothing. We have been wearing baju kurung to all the other open houses, so I felt like wearing jeans and blouse today.

Sempat posing dulu before kluar rumah. HARUS!!!

Us in the car, my princess was busy reading at the back.

The first destination is the Open House organised by my big boss at Restoran Rebung in Bangsar. Yup, the actual Rebung place owned by Chef Ismail and Angkasawan Malaysia, Sheikh Muszaphar. It was our first time here...

UPDATED PICTURE - Gambar meja sebelah just for anon...I feel I know who you are...hehehe...
The place and food overall was ok. But the logistic was quite a problem. Difficult to find parking spots. We arrived early so the parking problem was not so critical. We were not there for long. We have other destinations to be at.

Thanks TMD and Puan Sri for inviting us. Tahun depan ajak lagik yer...

Raya@Keramat

After Kajang, we headed to Keramat. Invitation received from the newly wed workmate. We didn't get to go to their wedding due to this so we make it a point to go to their open house.
The traffic was terrible. From Kajang to Keramat took us about 2 hours. Giler lama tu...

When we arrived, the cuties were exhausted. My baby slept in the car all the way and when she woke up, she was a bit cranky. But, kejap je, her mood was back to normal when she saw the chicken wings...
I did not eat much, still full and getting tired being in the car for so long. But, tak berani nak komplen, like I am the one driving??
We were supposed to go to Wangsa Maju after that, to Ms Money Matters place...but why we didn't go...Maleh nak critor, asalkan Ms Money Matters understands, ok ler tu...
Next - BBQ dinner@BSP organised by the Ketua Kampung...No pics taken cause it was already late. Arrived there at around 9pm lepas tetamu tak diundang baru ler reti nak balik!!!

So, out of 6 invites, we managed to cover 4, actually we can cover all if not because of the things that I refused to talk about!

Raya@BSP&Kajang

Last weekend was declared as makan free weekend. Why?
Because we were invited to 6 open houses all together. As mentioned before, my hero acted as the itinerary keeper, making sure we adhere to the schedules.
First stop was our next lane neighbours. The cuties love this open house as they have one place just for the kids to eat. We were among the first to arrive hence the cuties got to sit at the place peacefully. I was really watching what I eat for 2 reasons ; takut when you go to the next house, you can't eat anymore and second reason is...akak nie dah tak cukup besar ker .....

Next stop was to Kajang, to my sister in-law's parents house. They came to our event last week so we thought it will be rude for us not to come to their house.

It was a good decision. Instead of having the typical ketupat rendang dish(but they still have this anyway, yelah, tak complete ler raya kan), they cooked delicious masakan kampung, with siput sedut, ayam goreng berempah, sambal belacan and kawasan2 yg sewaktu dgnyer...here, difficult to control cause the food was so good, but I restrained myself from having second helping...
So, next stop mana yer???

Raya@Mrs Green

The date : Friday, 17 October 2008
The time : Around 8pm
The place : Mrs GREEN house @ BBB

The food
The nice kuih raya container - kalau org tak nampak, and kalau beg aku besar, harus ku cilok bekas dari Langkawi ini, sungguh berkenan!

The people

The cuties

Mrs GREEN was very kind to invite us, a bunch of crazy people to her house last Friday. Actually, her place is not very far from our house, about 15 minutes drive. However, it took longer than that, it's either the map failed us or we failed in reading the map. Being in a state of denial, we strongly believe the first option - sorry Mrs GREEN...hehehe...
We had loads of fun, with the good food(harus hancur diet ku) and of course good company. By the way Mrs GREEN, if ever you are going to Langkawi again, can you get me the cool kuih raya container yang telah menawan hatiku...that makes a good birthday present for me ;)

Raya@Utusan

I was invited by a good friend of mine to attend the Kumpulan Utusan's Hari Raya Open House yesterday. I am allowed to bring friends so I begged for Mrs GREEN, lurza, Cik Puan Ambang and William to come along.

I never expected the event to be that big. There were artists, the ballroom was nicely decorated, food were every where and Raya songs berkumandang.

The parking was full so we have to opt for valet parking. Mahal tu, RM20 hinggit!!!...

I got to take pictures with Mila, Noryn Aziz and Mawi Ekin. Cik Puan Ambang insisted her photo to be taken with Aizat while William, malu2 konon so acted only as the photographer. There were many other artists

Then, we started camwhoring all over the lobby. Kat tangga pun ada.

And lurza, the leader of all camwhorer started posing while we waited for the car. Mrs Green pun apa lagik, join skali ler...hehehehe....

Thanks guys for willing to accompany me. And thanks Izam sebab sudi ajak. Harus le kan, jumper artis, mesti ler nak ikut...
