Genting - Kota Keriangan and I'm a chicken!!!

In most stories that you have heard, morale of the story will come at the end, but mine will be now, at the beginning of the story...

Morale of this story is.....I am a chicken!!!!

Ok, let's begin.....

After we checked out, we decided to go up to Genting. The last time we were there was about 7 years ago, few months after I delivered my baby. Imagine how long has that been.
Instead of driving up, we thought of giving the cuties a thrill by using the Genting Skyway. And this is when I realised, I am a chicken!!!
Nope, I am not afraid of heights, I work at Level 33 ok!!! And I take LRT to work, so height is not and never an issue.
I am afraid of unstable vehicle at a very high place...and that's how I choose to put this. If only I saw the advert how Genting Skyway looks like, never in million years would I be in that small so called cable car. Nope, never, zitch!!!!
I was about to burst into tears, thank God the cuties were sitting facing the other direction, so they won't have to see that their mother is a chicken. I was closing my eyes most of the time and counting silently and wishing and hoping we reach the destination super fast...and thinking, why the hell did I buy a return ticket. Nah!!! Maybe, will negotiate with my better half to take a bus down. We'll see....
Once we reached at the top, we just went around walking. We did not want to pay to enter the theme, not only it is super expensive, but it will be such a waste since most of the games there are not for children and I just don't have the guts to try some of them...like this Solero Shot!!!No way!!!
So, we just played in the indoor games areas. This was where every games we played, we get coupons and after a certain amount of coupons, this can be redeemed with gifts. We get away with 3 Genting notebooks, one name card holder, 3 stationary sets and one so called the Genting mascot...
We had lunch at one of the restaurant there. We had the pizza set which comes with chicken wings and garlic bread. It was ok, I guess.
And as predicted, I lost the bid to take a bus down. We had another mind boggling ride down using the Skyway. Again, eyes closed, mengucap, istighfar and all the Quran verses that I know at that particular moment. Bila panick nie, banyak bende boleh luper oooo.....
Will we come again...yes, most definately. Will we use the Skyway, the answer is pretty obvious right???

Genting Trip - The fun part

While waiting for my better half and the cuties to arrive(I was here earlier, remember?), we went to this mamak place(yup, in Genting also got mamak place) at Gohtong Jaya. I was thinking real hard cause that name sounded to familiar, then gave a big smack on my own head...duh!!! Gohtong, Lim Goh Tong ler you idiot!!! By the way, I had nasi lemak panas accompanied by teh tarik...macam kat KL jer kan...

The weather was so gloomy...may be because I am missing my family soo much already....

They arrived around 7 ish...baru ler mama can smile...

After I bath and get them ready, we went for dinner. I have to leave them since there's an activity that nite.
By the time the activity ended, the cuties were already asleep.
The next day, after breakfast, I brought them to the pool before leaving them again with my better half, still got work to do lah...

Papa and mama posing dulu sebelum pegi...jgn marah...

What did we do after that....come later yer....

Genting Trip - The work part

I will be dividing this entry to 2 parts..one is the work part and the other one is the fun part...
Intro please!!!

I was at Genting last Thursday and Friday to attend the Team Building session for GREEN. I left KLCC around 11am. Kesian the designated driver. He has to wait for me for more than an hour cause I still have loads of things to settle before leaving.

It was raining all the way to Genting and I was so thankful for not driving. The road was slippery and the fog was quite thick.

Once I arrived, quickly check in and took my lunch. They have booked a 3 room apartment since my better half and the cuties will be joining later. All rooms were with 2 single bed so when my better half arrived, he did the man's job by joining the to bed to become one ;).

I was welcomed with this lovely fruit basket. I didn't open it right away, will get the cuties to do that later.

The first activity for me to attend was the obstacle courses. The objective of the activities is for the groups to maintain or increase their group profitability while going through this 10 courses. Every mistake, every delay(there's a time limit for every obstacle) will be penalised by deducting their cashflows. Before they start, they were given 80 million for each group. Their negotiation skills were being tested as well to see how well do they negotiate to get what they want. Did I forgot to tell they have to carry an egg while doing all this...ha ha ha, I knew there must be a twist somewhere...

Photos of some of the obstacles...

That nite, after the prayers and yassin recital, the next activity was the War Games. Franky speaking, I did not enjoy this game and I felt it was such a waste of time...so only one picture for this, during the briefing, the rest were too dark to be displayed...

For both days, the weather was not kind. It was raining on and off. Even the obstacle courses were done in the rain, and for the second day activity, the telematch had to be cancelled. We don't want people to start dropping like flies due to fever...

Look out for the fun part!!!
