I know what we did last Wednesday

Remember this special event?
Well, we started the day, of course by pretending to the cuties we were working that day. They were quite suspicious though as I was wearing jeans to work. For my better half that's a norm, he always wear jeans to work.
The theme of the day, by the way, is to go and enjoy food at places that we can't go during normal days...
So, the first venue was breakfast at SS19. I love the soto here. The best I have tasted so far. We also spent sometime reading the newspaper, again, something we have not done for quite sometime.
Then, we went to OU for some shopping action. I bought 2 blouses and 2 track bottoms. Wanted to buy more but was rushing to the next location.
Lunch was at Ikan Bakar Jalan Bellamy. With the diet program still in force, I had a fish and a cuttlefish minus the rice. Memang sedap and terangkat!
We headed to Sunway Pyramid just to lepak. Walked around and finally felt tired and had coffee at J.Co. Had a good conversation with each other, an interrupted one, something rare if we have the cuties around.
But, a mother will always be a mother. By 3pm, I was missing my cuties. We called my parents and told them we are picking the cuties and will be making our way to BSP. Baby siap ponteng skolah half day lagik!
Personally, I felt this kind of outing is very important to our marriage. Sometimes, we are so busy with our life juggling between career and family that we tend to neglect the better half. We also have marked in our calendar for the next session for 2009...
In a nutshell, I had an awesome day!

I present you good food, please forgive me

Who ever said the way to a man's heart is through his stomach? Cause, this may apply to woman as well. After my better half tried very best with his pujuking action, and he knows I am not well and haven't been eating, he took me to Ikan Bakar Jalan Bellamy as he knows how much I love Ikan Bakar. And I fell for it ;)....
The traffic that day was very smooth so we arrived around 11am, so the crowd was very minimal. It was so easy to choose the fish we wanted, to get a place to sit and also not having to wait so long for our drinks to arrive. So, it was very pleasant indeed despite the hot weather.
He ordered ikan keli, ikan cencaru(my favourite, ikan jaket!!!), sotong and came with some rice, gravy and vege. I wanted to get the prawn, but the price was a turn off. Imagine 6 mid size prawn for RM10. Baik beli and bakar sendiri kat rumah...
What's next after lunch? To pick up adik and check in to hotel. Fyi, adik had her convocation and in-laws were in town...Will blog about it later....

Another makan place - Ikan Bakar

I arrived home quite early, around 5.30pm on Wednesday, which is something very rare. The cuties were so excited to see me, I hardly got the chance to pick them up from school. We were all starving and decided to hunt for food. While driving around, we came across this new place, one Ikan Bakar place near the Giant Hypermarket.

Lalu pun dah bau sedap, so menyinggah lah yer, tuan2 dan puan2...
We surveyed the price first cause food in Kelana Jaya is never cheap. We prefer to know the price prior to ordering than dah order, and when the bill arrived, tekejut badak. Amazingly, the price is very ok! One set of ikan bakar which consists of the ikan of course, asam pedas gravy and air asam is RM5 each. And the fish in quite big.
We ordered 3 sets and the choice of fishes were ikan pari, ikan keli and ikan cencaru(i call this ikan jaket..sape duduk asrama would know what i am talking about).
The tastes were excellant. Sedap and really satisfying. This surprised me a bit, I am not a fan of ikan bakar that's being cooked on the roti canai kind of frying pan. My definition of ikan bakar has always been the one dibakar dgn arang, which are hard to find nowadays.
We are so going to come back again. Just look at the faces of satisfied customers.
