The night @ Pasar Malam BSP

Where we live, the pasar malam happened twice a week, i.e. every Tuesday and Saturday nite. We would usually bring the cuties for the Saturday nite pasar malam since we don't usually take them out during school night.
This pasar malam is very interesting and you can get almost everything here. We cook twice everyday for dinner and lunch(when the cuties come back from school) hence the need to top us stuff in the fridge is very important.
The usual purchase ; fishes dan sewaktu dengannyer and chicken. Cheaper and fresher than buying this at hypermarket.
We sometimes have dinner there. My princess loves the yong tau foo while my better half would always go for the mee hoon soup ala bakso. As for the 2 smaller ones, their appetite differs, sometimes burger, fried chicken or even pizza. We usually have this there, right at the stall. Ambiance is very Malaysian.
Pasar Malam has always been a Malaysian thing ever since I can remember. Been wanting to try the Pasar Malam in BBB. Readers there, comment ler the suasan of pasar malam there.

TV Dinner

Saturday nite has been officially made as a TV dinner nite, at least until the AF season is over. That has been a trend every year and this year is not an exception.

We will tapau food from pasar malam and then spread the newspaper in front of TV. When everything is ready, we will have our dinner right in front of the TV.

The choice of food tonite, yong tau foo, kebab, murtabak, kuih and rojak ; the normal typical pasar malam food.

While typing this, I am watching AF with my better half by myside and my princess lying in front of the TV. My hero and my baby are in the room playing with the computer, they are not into AF, they find it boring.
With all this blessings in my life, the continous rezeki given by Allah s.w.t and my loved ones with me, I am very grateful and should stop complaining. And when there are others who try to disturb my life, I would take it as they are just not happy with theirs and at the same time jealous of mine!
Have a good day to all!!!

Feeding the staff

A full stomach is a happy stomach...
Nope, this is not one of those brilliant quotes. This is a stupid quote that I came out with. So, that explains the stupidity of the quote.

My in-laws arrived from Batu Pahat late Saturday evening. I was so surprised my in-lwas suddenly were in front of our house. Usually, they will call and we will pick them up at the Putra Mahkota toll area, guess they are an expert already of the route to our house.
Adik came along, as well as my 2 lovely nephews, age 13 and 11. Good! We need all the help we can get for this Sunday event.
Saturday nite is Pasar Malam nite at BSP. So, we thought of buying dinner there. It will be a busy nite so we need to feed our staff well.
We had everything on the dinner table, from Nasi Lemak to kebab. We thought, instead of buying things in a big portion, it's better we bought them in smaller portions but with more variety. So, the dining table ended up looking like a buffet spread!!
Cepat makan, keje banyak nie.....

The best desert ever!!!

After a good Pasar Malam dinner, we had the best desert ever i.e. king of the fruit, durian. Actually, this was not part of the plan. While we were walking along the pasar malam, there was this durian stall and my baby being a durian fanatic, begging for her Papa to buy some. Please Papa and she went on making that cute little face and her Papa gave in.

While watching Sehati Berdansa, we were enjoying the durian. Memang best. The cuties love durian and they can eat until the last bite.
After that, they played Sahibba and of course ler, more fighting action ler. Apa lagik kan.

So, I have 3 words for you..........SELAMAT HARI RAYA!!!!

Pasar Malam Dinner

This was the most relaxing weekend, the most relaxing since we moved in to BSP. Why relaxing? Cause, we can stay at home and don't have to go anywhere. We can focus on doing the house chores and not having to work around fixed schedules.
We managed to do many things, few loads of laundry, sweeping and moping the house, wiping the kitchen(which by the way, my current craze), watering the grass and many other things. The cuties washed their shoes and helped out with the other chores as well. I also brought the cuties to the nearby playground and played badminton with my better half. Hence, we were exhausted by night time so my better half suggested for us to just tapau some food from the BSP Pasar Malam.
BSP's Pasar Malam occur twice a week, Tuesdays and Saturdays. I had just ayam percik, my better half had nasi kerabu with ikan goreng, my princess had the usual thing i.e. burger goreng, my hero with his kebab(which he improvised by garnishing with bits and pieces of nugets) and my baby had pasembor. We did not get anything extra, afraid we are not able to finish it. However, we bought wonderful desert, will blog about it the next entry.

We also bought some stuff for tomorrow's dish. My better half wanted to have nasi impit with rendang and kuah kacang. I concur to the idea. Ever since I managed to complete my puasa enam last Monday, I have yet to celebrate my second Raya. Too many things to be completed....

And also attending this ceremony near our house, ada ler perkumpulan kejiranan skit...

Next weekend will be another hectic one...why, keep coming here and you'll know...

In Laws In Town - for the Raya thingy

My in-laws and of course Adik came over on Saturday and arrived around 5pm. We, especially the cuties were very excited and have been waiting for them to arrived.
We picked them up at the toll exit and headed home straight after that. Both Abah and Mak were not well but still insisted on coming as they also want to join the kenduri and Raya Open House. I'm so glad they did, the more the merrier. And of course, Adik is always a good help in the kitchen.
We bought dinner at Pasar Malam. My mom in-law is very adventureous about food and love to try new things. We bought quite a variety and they enjoyed it very much.
Makan banyak2 skit dik, banyak keje nak buat nie!

We have moved!!!

Finally, after all the hard work and all the sweat and tears.....after all the money invested and more tears, after the energy thrown to clean what needs to be cleaned and again more tears...
23 August 2008, we have finally moved our stuff to the new house. Nope, it's not fully completed yet, however, it's good enough for us to start bringing items in.
The house is now being painted, the cuties got to choose the concept and colour of their room. Insyallah, come 29 August 2008, everything will be ready Insyallah.
The cuties were very excited. Though it was raining, that did not wipe put the smile on their faces.
Papa yang gigih berusaha....Steady papa!!!
Then, we had dinner at the pasar malam near our new house. The mee hoon soup utara was not bad. I think after all the hard work, we were starving to the extend the cuties managed to finish the whole bowl each by themselves. That's an achievement!!!
I know some have been asking to view the interior of the house. Will disclose that next week, Insyaallah!!! Let's just take things one step at a time for now....
