Free tickets that has to be given away.

My company offered this free tickets to Japan GT @ Sepang and was given on a first come first served basis. And I was one of the first served cause I first came!!!
Masa mintak tiket tak pikiaq but only on Saturday I realized, if we go for the race, who’s gonna take care of the cuties. Sending this to my parents’ house would not be fair to my parents, they need their weekends too.

The most responsible and rationale thing to do is to give the tickets away. I first contacted most of the people I know whether they want the tickets and no takers. Then, I offered via FB also no takers(apesal smua tak nak tiket free nie) and later via this blog pun takde yg nak.

We ended up giving this tickets to my front door neighbor while attending the neighbourhood gotong royong. He planned to take his son with him.

Sedih gak tak dapat gi the race but hope the neighbor had a good time there.

Moral of the story : Sebelum mintak tiket, silalah sedar anda tu ada anak2, so renung2kan dan selamat beramal!

Wedding season is back again

When the school holidays start, officially it will also be the start of wedding season. This time around is no exceptions. We have started receiving wedding invites since early May and will try to make sure we don't miss any of them. Not only because we don't want to dissapoint the host, but the fact that I love going to weddings and looking at the concepts and decorations which may be useful should one day I get to pursue my dream to have my own event management company...Brangan lagik Liza nie...

The first wedding of the season was the one hosted by our next lane neighbour. It was done a day after our kenduri cum birthday party. The concept chosen was white and purple.
We arrived quite late cause we were exhausted with all the cleaning we have to do. We arrived around 3pm despite the house is just few steps away from ours.

The cuties were not really in the mood for rice and lauk kenduri so they just had very little of this. I was sharing the same sentiment as the cuties, but it will be rude not to have any, so jamah ler skit.
The favours were very unique, unlike the typical eggs, cakes or sweet, we received prayers book with tasbih in the cute little box.
We did not stay that long. The most was 30 minutes. It was so hot and I swear I heard my bed calling me ;).....

Wedding (again?)

Nope, don't worry, this is not the continuation of last week's wedding extravaganza back in my better half's hometown. This wedding was held yesterday in KL, at the Dewan Toh Puan Raha, in the Yayasan Tun Razak's building located near Bukit Bintang area. (wah, so detail one, better provide map skalik kan?)
This was the wedding the daughter of one our neigbours. We thought again, it will be kind of rude for us not to attend, they have attended the kenduri we organised earlier. Otherwise, we don't actually love going to KL during the weekends. Yelah, every day dah gi KL so weekends are better spend at home.
The theme was maroon. Everything was in maroon even the drinks. The door gift, one type for adult and the other for children.
The food served. They had 2 types ; one the typical nasi minyak and lauk pauk, another type the grilled lamb with salad. Sedap!
I love the pelamin, very nicely decorated. They even have live band. If I'm not mistaken, the members were sibblings and cousins. Cool!
The cuties enjoyed the food. Jangan terperanjat, my baby is a big fan of grilled lamb. She finished the whole plate!
We wanted to go else where after the wedding but the cuties were fighting in the car and despite us asking them to stop, they did not listen so as we told them, let's go straight home since they just cannot behave themselves. All3 merajuk sampai tertidur...
Tulah, saper suruh gaduh!

Hidup bermasyarakat - Part 2

We were invited to attend a birthday party for our neighbour's grandaughter. And I am still trying to improve my hidup bermasyarakat skill hence decided to attend the party. Furthermore, this neighbour without fail have attended the 2 kenduri that we organised last year. It will not be nice if we don't attend their event.
The event was on Sunday 3pm. We were so tight up doing house work that we forgot about the time. By the time we realised, it's already 2.30pm. We quickly perform Zuhur prayer and then off to the nearest toy store to get a birthday gift. We got a big Minnie Mouse toy, by the way. Forgot to take the photo, was rushing to the party.

By the time we arrived, around 3.20pm, the party was about to start. There were lots of food, from nasi beriani, to fried meehoon and of course finger food for the kids(and applicable to adult as well). Pasta was also served. Hmmmm...Yummie...
The cute birthday girl was wearing like a tinkerbell costume. My baby was asking why did she want to look like butterfly....Apalah baby nie, mind her, she is not into this girly stuff.
The cake was delicious, what do you expect, Secret Recipe ma!
While the adult chit chat and catch up with the latest neighbourhood gossip, the kids were playing with balloons outside.
I'm glad I attended this party. I got to know my neighbour better, the crowd was rather small compared to the other neighbourhood functions I've attended before. We exchange phone numbers and its a good thing, at least bile emergency, adalah tempat nak mintak tolong.
Who ever say hidup bermasyarakat is a bad thing!

Hidup bermasyarakat

I have this problem, and this problem is not new.

The problem is.........
I don't know how to hidup berjiran, by definition the relationship that I had in the previous neighbourhood that we used to live in would be Hi and Bye kind of relationship. That, by definition, you will say hi and bye on your way to work and another hi and bye when you come back to work and about to enter your home. And there was this instances where I did not even recognise my own neighbour. Usually this berjiran stuff would be taken care of my better half. I don't even know what's going on outside of our home the moment I walk through our house door.
So, when we moved in to this new neighbourhood, my better half made me promise for me to improve myself in this competency...Especially this new neighbourhood is mostly occupied by senior citizen so it's quite critical to him for us to have a close relationships with the neighbours. Like in the previous area we lived in, he continued to frequently perform his prayers in the nearby surau. He always tells me, "kalau tak pergi surau, nanti kita buat kenduri sape nak datang, nanti kalau kita mati, sape nak uruskan". I silently agree with him on this.
Last Saturday, the neighbourhood had this Hari Raya Haji gathering at the open area near my house. At first, it was suppose to be a pot luck concept, but later they announced for every house to pay RM50 and food will be prepared by the committee. Of course, I love the latter arrangement. However, since I did not get the chance to help the ladies to prepare and cook the food as well as preparing the goodie bags (nope, it was not intentional, I was taking care of my hero who was still on the road to recovery, remember?), I cooked sambal telur as they will be serving Nasi Lemak as part of the buffet spread.
The event started with the tazkirah from this Ustaz from the nearby university. Interesting and suitable topic, Hidup Berjiran. It really captured my attention, I know I totally suck in this area.
The makan2 time was great as well. We minggled and eat and minggled some more. We did not bring the cuties along, my hero would never want to be alone at home...
I will try to improve my weakness in this area. Perhaps this can be one of my New Year resolution...hehehe....
