Free tickets that has to be given away.

My company offered this free tickets to Japan GT @ Sepang and was given on a first come first served basis. And I was one of the first served cause I first came!!!
Masa mintak tiket tak pikiaq but only on Saturday I realized, if we go for the race, who’s gonna take care of the cuties. Sending this to my parents’ house would not be fair to my parents, they need their weekends too.

The most responsible and rationale thing to do is to give the tickets away. I first contacted most of the people I know whether they want the tickets and no takers. Then, I offered via FB also no takers(apesal smua tak nak tiket free nie) and later via this blog pun takde yg nak.

We ended up giving this tickets to my front door neighbor while attending the neighbourhood gotong royong. He planned to take his son with him.

Sedih gak tak dapat gi the race but hope the neighbor had a good time there.

Moral of the story : Sebelum mintak tiket, silalah sedar anda tu ada anak2, so renung2kan dan selamat beramal!

Company's Open Day - It's A fishy trip!

After lunch, I was not sure where I should bring the cuties so they won't be bored. At the same time, I don't think I can walk any further. My legs are killing me and I need a break before more walking can be done since after this we will be making our way to Aquaria.
Then, I got this idea to bring them to the playroom in Isetan. They can keep themselves occupied with the toys in there and I can sit and relax. Thank God for making me think of that place. Otherwise, buntu kepala makcik!
The trip to Aquaria started at 2.30pm however, this started with a briefing from the Aquaria team members about this place as well as the security measures. The cuties were already excited to go in and they kept on telling me whether we should listen to this since they have listened to this before. Sabo ler!
So, the journey started. My hero was the most excited one, telling me he saw this fish in National Geographic, he read about this creature and more info, even the one not indicated on the caption. Too much info sayang, Mama dah penat nie.
We even took picture with the python(albino) and some iguanas. We have to pay RM25 for that, nantilah, once I scan the photo, will publish it here.
It was indeed a wonderful outing all together. We were very tired and I silently telling myself, I would not want to join next year, unless my better half managed to get the day off as well. Tak larat ler!
p/s :Luper lak nak criter, we saw Tun Mahathir and wife as well as Agong and Permaisuri while waiting for my better half to pick us up. He took more than 2 hours to arrived to the Convention Center, traffic was very bad. And when I saw this VIPs, I know what caused the horrible traffic!

Company's Open Day - Monsters Vs Alien & Burger King

And again I am doing this skip-suka-hati-aku kind of entry. This time we're back to the our company's Open Day event. After the event held @ Mercu, we went on the

bus back to KLCC for a movie and followed by lunch after that. The chosen movie was Monsters Vs Alien the latest movie shown @ cinemas currently.
The cuties were very excited since they have seen the adverts on this movie on the billboards as well as the advert on TV. While hearing the talk held earlier, they kept on asking me when are we seeing the movie and the next question was when are we going to Aquaria. Looks like they are just into the fun stuff and not so into the educational bit of the trip.
While taking this photo, Cik Wan was telling me "mana boleh ambik gambar dalam cinema". Hahaha!!! Memang tak boleh Cik Wan but since this is the only chance I can do so, mesti lah nak take the opportunity kan. Otherwise, I may be accused on trying to film this movie and then jadik tokey DVD harams......
I have to be honest again, I was really tired and I slept just after 10 minutes the movie started. My baby told me I was really sound asleep as she was asking me for water and I did not respond.
When I woke up, about 15 minutes before the movie end, I noticed I was not the only parent sleeping in the cinema. Most of them were still sleeping! See how tired the people I worked with kan? So, due to this, no review can be given. But, the cuties loved the movie!
Then, we had lunch @ Burger King, KLCC. Frankly, that's not the best choice to eat at that hour especially when we have to beat the other lunch crowd. Ended up, some of the participants did not get to sit and took the lunch and ate them elsewhere. I guess, the organiser must have their reason for choosing this location.
My hero was so hungry, he finished the whole Whopper by himself. Mula2 nak share dengan Mama konon, but when I saw him eating this non-stop, I told him to just finish the whole burger.
Next stop, the Aquaria!!! Not only the cuties looked forward for this trip, I love Aquaria myself.
Aquaria, here we come!!!!

Company's Open Day - Half Day @ Mercu

After we reached the KSO office, we had to walk over to the next building and cross the road. There were polis bantuan there to help us cross to the other side safely. The cuties were getting very excited, they don't usually get the chance to take a bus to anywhere. That is why, we decided to go to KLCC first so that they can experience the bus ride. Though it's such a short distance, it meant alot to the cuties.

Once we reached our destination, we were taken to level 26 for our breakfast. They were serving fried rice and some sandwiches with kuih. I think the cuties were not really into eating, they just want to know what's the activities in line this morning.
When they saw kids at the next table started to get pieces of papers for them to colour, they started to feel uneasy and impatient. I told them, they will only get theirs once they finish their food. That definitely help them to finish their food.

They were into colouring mode once they get the paper. I told them I have to leave for awhile to get some work done and for them to call me once they are done.

There was a talk from Tan Sri Dr Jemilah, the leader of Mercy Malaysia on Palestine. As much as I want the cuties to pay attention, I guess I couldn't blame them to feel a little bit bored. Then, they became awake again when they heard of the prize giving ceremony. They did not win anything though, but I don't think that bother them that much.

Last session, group photo!!!

Next up, back to KLCC. More fun stuff to discover!!

Company's Open Day - Spending the whole day with the cuties

I was not sure at first whether I should participate in this event. My better half couldn't get the day off that day and I don't think I can manage the whole day out with the cuties all by myself. Those who think having a day out with school going kids are much easier than having much younger kids, you will know how wrong you are when your kids reach the school going age. It will not only be physically challenge, mentally as well.

The cuties have to wake up early if we want my better half to drop us off. As predicted, it was not a problem to wake the cuties up since they know they will be doing something fun. Very much contradicts if I were to wake them up to go to school.
We reached office around 7.10am and waited for the bus to bring us to the other office in Plaza Sentral. The bus was supposed to leave at 7.30am and again as predicted many people just choose not to respect people's time and decide to arrive fashonably late causing us those who are punctual to be penalised again!! Dah ler lapo!!

We took this opportunity to take photos around the KLCC lobby. Been working here for the past 4 years but never really spend that much time at the lobby.
The bus finally left few minutes before 8am...
Lots of activities planned by the organiser. Activities which excite the kids and leaving the adults so tired...

What's the activitiy?? Tunggu!!!!

The much long awaited birthday party entry

The preparation started about a month before the event. Yup, very well prepared and carefully thought of event despite having to juggle between other commitments in life like work and making sure the cuties were well prepared for their exams.

We have agreed to segregate this event into 2 segments ; the afternoon was for the tahlil and later at 4pm would be the birthday party. Why 2 segments? Cause based on our experience. when all of our guests come all at once, they will be those who we won't even get the chance to talk to. And that would not fit the purpose of having a party when you can't even spend time to talk to your guests.

We engaged McD to organise the games for the party. We thought what is a childrens' birthday party without games. At first we wanted to engage this event company which are specialised in handling this kind of thing, but the quote given were too expensive which we thought it was kind of ridicilous to pay such amount of money.

All the food were self cooked except for the burger and pizza. We wanted to have 2 sets of menu, one for adults and the other one for children.

We also had 2 cakes, the afternoon was the Ben10 cake chosen by my hero and the afternoon was the Powerpuff Girls cake chosen obviously by my princess and my baby.

You wanna know more about the party with more pics(I was too busy making sure all went well that I forgot to take most of the pictures, luckily I have many friends who were doing the snapping of pics for me), come and visit this blogs(ada yg tak update lagik kot), those who were kind enough to travel to our humble home to share this occassion with us.

Gina Manan - who was one of the first person to arrived. Thanks for coming and taking the trouble to make sure she got the right gifts for the cuties,. thanks dear and if you are in KL, let's have lunch

K Red - who helped me to send some of the invites out. I was bugged down with work that I did not get the chance to invite all personally, thanks babe!

Atty - who brought along her adorable daughter and cute little son. Atty is a fun person to talk too and hope to get a chance to get to know her more

Ayu the Sun - no wonder we get along very well kan? We share the same crazy friend all this years without us realising it. What a small world

Sid aka adenium - made up this crazy GBM gang, memang giler2 sungguh! Dah add kat FB kan?

Ayusolo - my tierack supplier with lil^red. Dah jadik minah blackberry yer, sungguh gigih nak mendapatkan storm yg baru itu...so gigih ler menjual more scarves....she came with eliya, entah apa link nyer yer....

Mamamarina - my next taman neighbour. I have been frequenting her blog and when she delivered her third baby, I got her something which I only got the chance to give to her during the party. Merasalah anak dia dah jalan baru dapat the present...

Azrul - my brother who came with Andy. Walaupun lambat datang gak kan. Though it will be sweeter if you guys came to do the dishes as well ;)

To my good and bestfriend Fahmy, who came when he knows the fact if he don't, putus kawan yer....hahahaha!!!

And to all those who came, my sister aka workmate Fadzillah and Zaza, my workmate Pai, my relatives, neighbours and friends who made it. Thanks so much for coming....

The presents the cuties got. Banyak giler, itu belum lagik the cash received. Thanks to all. Our intention has always been to celebrate this with the people we care about and getting all this gifts are a bonus to us. We appreciate all gifts given very much!

Sorry lah, not many pics, hazab betul nak upload pics with this "super fast" internet connection! You can see more pics from the above links.

And lastly pesanan dari penaja, kalau nak order food for catering silalah yer...One step towards owning my own event management and catering business with my better half...Insyaallah

A week full of "things to do"

This week as anticipated, is a week where everything just has to be on schedule. Even 5 minutes make such a big difference!

For Saturday's event, I have started peeling the onions, shallots and garlics last night and will be cutting the dried chillies tonight.

I have also started preparing the goodie bags. Last Sunday we ordered the cakes, finalised the event with Mcd and ordered the wet products for the dishes. Yup, we are cooking the meals ourselves and choose not to engage with catering companies. We hope our guests will enjoy the meals.

We have segmented the event into 2 segments ; 12 noon will be for org surau, neighbours and relatives. This is for the tahlil and doa selamat. This will end at 2pm Insyallah. 4pm is when the birthday party will start. Most of the invitees are my fellow blogger friends which majority those I have not met. Looking forward to that.

Why 2 segments ; we just want to get the chance to talk to tall our guests. If all come one shot, that will be a great challenge hence we decided to do this that way. Invitations has been sent since last week and done in various methods.

I am hoping everything will turn out well. I love organising events and it has been a dream of mine to own my own catering, even management and wedding planner company. One of my strengths(which is not many!) is my coordination skills. I love when I see the happy faces leaving the event that I have organised. Such satisfaction is just priceless!

Most importantly, I hope the cuties will enjoy their birthday party. The cuties mean the world to me and I work hard to give them a good life. They have been very cooperative and understanding the whole situation around them and they toltally deserve this party!

I hope those who have received the invites can make it and of course for them to enjoy the party!

The party is on!!!

To those who already got the invitation, I'll see you this Saturday!!!Nope, we're not having it at Mcd, we are bringing Mcd to our humble home.

Look forward to meeting my blogger friends!!!

Happy Teacher's Day

As usualy, just like the previous years, we prepared presents for the cuties to bring for their teachers for the Teacher's Day celebration. Baby would be joining her sister and brother for the morning session.

I admire those who chose teacher as a profession. Being teacher is never easy. You have to have the patience, determination and creativity. Especially with kids nowadays, trying to get their attention can be a challenge.
I remembered few teachers I have. One came to my mind is Puan Sabrina Cheah. She was the fierce version of the teachers I had encountered. One time, I did not complete my homework and I got really punished for it. And of course Cikgu Fuad, Cikgu Ramlah and Cikgu Khalid, my teachers for primary school. And Puan Noorliza whom I had during my MRSM days and she was the one who made me love chemistry. Puan Umi was my homeroom teacher. She was the sweetest. I remembered we always got invited to her house and did some cooking there.

During my working years, I have teachers too, so to speak....

But, where I am coming from....experience has always been the best teacher of all!!

The cuties Sports Day

After having to wake up early on Saturday, I still need to wake up early on Sunday. This time to attend the cuties Sports Day. All 3 were in involved, my baby in her Sukaneka and my princess and my hero both in 4X100 relay race. My hero was also involved in the opening marching event.
We took them for breakfast, we don't want them not to have energy to perform. The last thing we need was for the cuties to passed out in the middle of the field.
We arrived just in time. The event was about to start and my hero ran to take his place in the marching event. He is in the Red House.
My baby got first in her event and she was very happy about it. Me, being a "tak tau malu" mom, was shouting, screaming and jumping to cheer her to the finish line.
Too bad for my hero and my princess. Their team did not make it. Relay race is about team work, even if you are a fast runner, you may not win should your team not as fast as you want them to be. But I told them not to give up and try harder next time.
The verdict ; all of us went back at least 30% darker than our original skin tone...Nyesal tak pakai sun block!

The netball match

I mentioned this earlier, there was a netball tournament last Saturday. And as usual, yours truly has to play due to shortage of players. All of a sudden, it's dejavu all over again.

I have been playing netball since primary school. I may not be good at it but ok lah, not so bad. And ever since I can remember, I played GS. The reason? This is the only position with minimal movement and doesn't require any defending roles. Hence, I am the shortest shooter ever!
We had fun though the 2 referees totally suck big time! Macam tak tau main netball. And what's with the both of them not agreeing with each other. Tiup wisel dah lah macam tak makan. Then, expect us to be mind reader and know why the whistel was blown. Never have I encoutered such non-quality referees.

But, other than that, I had fun. Meeting those people that I don't usually meet during the normal working days and hanging out with them. With my new job scope, I don't get to spend time with them like before as my new role don't actually involve meeting internal people.

We came in third. Oklah, met our target....asal tak last ;)...

But, woke up the next morning feeling like ***t! Ha ha ha!!!

Saturday, 25 April 2009

Wish me luck!

On my way to play netball for my team...

Though I know the chances for us to win is very slim, but I look forward to have a good time during the event.

Nevertheless, please do wish me luck. Who knows with your prayers, we may win this game!

Go Kryptonite!(That's the name of our team by the way)

BSP Car Show

Last weekend, there was something big going on in BSP. It's the first(if I'm not mistaken) auto car show activity organised by the BSP Sports Club. We saw the banner prior to the event and thought to drop by and see what's this all about.
The event was publicised to start at 9am but when we arrived at 10am, not many cars were there so we went to do some groceries shopping first.
We came back around 11.45am and still not many cars have arrived. But, the cars which has arrived were very interesting.
This navy blue Satria with the "bulu2" concept with a skeleton in front of the engine.
My princess loves this Pink Kancil with the Hello Kitty theme. Everything was Hello Kitty, inside out.
As for my baby, she loves the green version of Hello Kitty. I find this pretty cool as well.
Another that captured our attention, this green car, I was told it's a Datsun. But, the car is simply amazing!
We thought to do other stuff first and come back again. But, around 1.30pm, it started raining and did not stop even at night. So, we decided to just stay at home considering the cuties were not at well just yet.
Hope they will organise such event again in future.

Sports Carnival Is Back!!!

It's the time of the year again. The time where I start to take our my sports shoes from the closet. The time where my gym routine become more frequent than before. The time where I sweat and meeting up with my once a year sports buddies.

As usual the start of the event would be Futsal. And the venue this year was very convenient, in Subang unlike the previous venues, in Ampang. Baru ler adil kan.

And this year, the activities were not only meant for adults. There were activities for the kids as well, hence for this launching, I brought the cuties along.

This guy performed as one of the opening act. He did this ball juggling event which was very impressive. My hero enjoyed it very much, he insisted a picture was taken with this guy. Sorryler, forgot his name lah.

Our team did very badly but it's ok. We had a lot of fun and this year was the first year this game went well without any "fighting" incident. Maybe the level of kiasuness have toned down a little.
One game down...about 12 more to go!

Vacation @ Kuantan - The vacation is over

I hate it when my vacation is over. After weeks of planning and now it's finally over...Over and done...Brapa banyak punyer over dah!!!
We left right after breakfast. We wanted to beat the traffic, it's the end of school holidays and if we left later, we may be stuck in horrible traffic.
I told the cuties to really eat, we plan not to make any stops on the way back. The next meal will be at BSP.
Good bye Swiss Garden, we shall meet again.....
And another vacation........finally ended!

Vacation @ Kuantan - The Carribean Night

The theme - Carribean Night.

And we have nothing to wear, at least nothing related to the theme...

It was my better half's idea to dress up that night. He felt it will be a good gesture to the organising team. To show we support their work and hence will go the extra mile to make the night success.

Many did not know this, we bought the clothes right after the telematch after having a short meeting with vagg at Pantai Balok and making our way back to the resort, we stopped by this batik boutique place and went around looking for the right clothing. And we decided to go all white and with green dash here and there. And the main objective, to have a good photo session after the event.
The food was nice, I love BBQ food.....So, I was eating like crazy, especially the lamb.

The entertainer that night, Aliff, was awesome. The cuties love them. I felt that was a great choice. And the MC was doing better than the first night. Kudos to them both!

As usual, we did not win anything during the lucky draw. Like we ever win anything...kan?

But, somehow, we won Famili Bersemangat, whatever that means. And winning that, we join the group of Pemenang Hadiah2 Hina, and had a warm welcome by the existing member of the group, Azrul and Fidah. Layak lah kan.

The night was fun...And marking the final night of our vacation. And Monday, back to reality...Hectic working and juggling family life all over again...And wondering, when will the next vacation be........

Vacation @ Kuantan - Fun Day Under The Sun, literally

After breakfast, we made our way to the beach to participate in the telematch games. The cuties love this part of all the retreats they have been to, collecting as much presents as they can by again, demonstrating the high level of kiasuness, participating in all the games offered. What can I do, they just love to be part of activities...

Started with warming up session, POCO2 time!!! Led by the Guru of Poco2, Azrul aka Sobri, this was really. Our whole family were doing this and loving it. Despite the hot weather, we still had fun. Bak kata Andy, "biasa2 kan lah yer, neraka lagik panas yer...ZASS!!!!!!!!

Let the games begin. My better half took part in the games so did the cuties. I only joined one game. Saja nak bagi can kat orang lain...sebenarnyer nak cover perangai malas! When we saw there will be the game of tug of war, we decided to leave the area, based on our experience, after the game of tug of war, body aching all over shall follow. Tak sanggup!!!

I was waiting for the call from vagg, our pengantin baru, who plan to come to Kuantan with the delicious nasi dagang. I did not take any pictures, so, refer to this and this for the details. Vagg was quiet, not kecoh like me and K Red, maybe the aura malu2 pengantin is still in tact kot. But, the seri pengantin was really obvious. Thanks vagg for willing to drop by and visit us. And the nasi dagang was to die for!

And more activities to come! Look out yer!
