The H1N1 Scare

My baby was not well since Thursday. We took her immediately to SJCM. With the current scary situation, we felt we should not wait until things get serious.
And I have a strong feelings I was not the only one. We arrived at SJMC around 8 and the ER was packed. They even have to allocate seats outside of the ER and yet these seats are packed.

We have to wait nearly 2 hours before we get to see the doctor. The doctor checked the condition and suspect this is only a normal fever. He gave antibiotics and paracetamol. We were asked to monitor her condition for another 2 days and should this do not improve to take her here again.
Alhamdulilah, she is getting better. Frankly I was really scared and hoping for the best. Whenever the cuties fall sick, I would always wish to take their place.

With that, hope everyone’s weekend is a blast just like mine!!

Dah sudah pun....

The moment we have been waiting for. My hero finally completed the procedure. We waited in anticipation (baby was the most excited 0ne) but I was a bit sad seeing my hero, my son, being pushed on a wheel chair. He is usually very active so I am not used to seeing him in that condition.
My better half told me the moment he regain his conciousness, he asked for me and I was so touched when I hear this. My hero, still need his Mama.
We waited for the medication and then made our way home. He still looked ok, perhaps the pain killer is still in his system...
Malam nanti, tau ler sakit ke tidak...

The moment of truth...(and pain)

We reached the hospital at 8am and the procedure is expected to start at 8.50am. Once we arrived, we proceed with the registration. My parents were already there waiting for us. I can sense my parents nervousness, I guess they know my hero will be going through a major milestones in his life.
My hero was tagged and then was taken to the changing room for him to be changed to the hospital gown. While we waited at the waiting area. Only my better half went in, only one parent is allowed at any one time and we have agreed it was more appropriate for my better half to be in there.
Once he has been given his jap to make him unconcious, I took my princess and my baby together with my parents for breakfast. My baby was not eating well, she was so worried for her brother and wanted to see him fast. She only had cereal, itupun tak habis....
In 1 hours time, my hero will be out of the Operation Theatre...and I do hope he'll be ok....

Waiting......

I am now waiting for my hero to complete his circumcission. My better half is inside to keep him company. Just received an sms from my better half saying my hero was asking the doctor loads of questions.

Hopefully everything will be ok. Being a mother, I guess it's normal for me to feel sick to my stomach.

A friend told me make sure I don't cry when he is in pain cause that's the mistake she did. Well, no matter how strong I am....sadly, I can't guarantee that....

Ms GTL & her baby

Yup, this is the same Ms GTL whom we visited earlier, right after she delivered a beautiful baby girl...
After this event, we headed to the hospital. The cuties couldn't wait to visit one of their favourite aunties and of course to see the baby.
Ms GTL is feeling better after her C-Section and the baby is just as adorable as you can ever imagine. Comel sungguh.
As we speak, Ms GTL is still in the hospital nursing the baby whom developed a slight yellowish skin due to jaundice, which is pretty normal on newborn baby...

We did not stay for long as my hero has a birthday party to attend....Busy2 Saturday indeed...

Bundle of joy

I received a message from Ms GTL stating that she will be undergoing c-section to deliver her first baby that night. She was scared and she asked me to pray for her...
I was not satisfied and immediately called her. She was nervous but I tried (not sure whether it worked) to comfort her and told her Insyallah, everything will be ok.
After work, I was not satisfied, I asked my better half whether it's ok if we make a stop at the hospital, I thought I just wanted to lend her some moral support and make sure that she is ok.
When we arrived, she was already in the labour room. Since my better works in this hospital and with the OT division, he was able to enter to see whether everything is ok while I sat with her mom and hubby. He hubby was very disturbed and nervous. I know he must be wishing that he can be by his wife's side and make sure that everything is ok.

Alhamdulilah, about 20 minutes after that, Ms GTL safely delivered a baby girl. A very cute, fair and pinkish baby girl. I was already in tears witnessing this event. This photo was taken right after the baby left the labour room.

Here, the father "mengazankan" the baby. Such a wonderful scene...

I was allowed to enter the recovery area(thanks to me better half) and able to see Ms GTL. She has just regained her conciousness and was surprised to see me by her side. I told her congrats, and everyone sends their regards...And how beautiful her baby is...
To Ms GTL, I know you have been waiting for this moment for the longest time and finally after the patience and prayers, you are now a mother. Take care my dear sister and I am very very sure you will be the best mother!

Baby in pain

Baby missed her jap together with her friends at school earlier because of this incident. So, we took her to the paed for that purpose. At first, she was ok about it, running around the clinic while waiting for her turn, but I did noticed she was naughtier than usual. Maybe that's how she deals with her nervousness.
We waited and waited and waited for our turn. That's one thing I hate about going to the specialist. We were there from 10.30am and only got to see the doctor 2.30pm...having to wait for 4 hours in a hospital with 3 kids that don't know how to sit still for more than 5 minutes is never a pleasant experience. I got tired after the 3rd hour of waiting and able to finish my Shopaholic Takes Manhattan book, which has about 200 pages to go when we arrived. I knew we will have to wait this long based on experience so I packed quite alot of snacks for the cuties. My better half commented, macam nak pegi camping jer...
Finally, when baby's name being called, she started to get the jitter. She was so menggelabah...and started to negotiate with me if we can do this some other time. My blunt answer, of course NO! After 4 hours of waiting, you have no choice but to get that jap.
Before the doctor even touched, she started her screams already. My better half had to hold her real tight. And, did I forgot to mention, there are 2 japs that need to be taken. One on the left and the other one on the right. Making through the first one already like the first world war errupted...how can we get through the second one...
Finally the war is over. She was ok and she was quite surprised herself that she did not feel that much pain for the second jap. I guess, dah immune kot...
And my baby is smiling again :)

An event in the Ops Theatre

My better half invited us to attend the Chinese New Year Open House held at his work place i.e. the Ops Theatre of a prominent hospital. Can you imagine while patient being operated next door, we are here having a party. Siap ber "yee sang" lagi tu.

The food was good though rationally when you are eating in a hospital with doctors and nurses, you would assume that you will be served healthy food. Tet! Wrong! They were satay, fried rice, drummets, various desert and all type of food that can make you end up in the ops theatre so to speak...

The cuties really had fun except for my hero who was hiding sebab takut belon. Malu we all, our son and the hero in the family takut belon!!!

I know I haven't been that active in visiting other blogs and updating my own blog...this has been a looooong week and I am so exhausted. Banyak giler project kena complete...

How I spent my Hari Wilayah

It was supposed to be the day that I planned to be by myself, since the cuties and my better half will not be observing the holiday(they are under Selangor jusrisdiction). I planned to spend the day at the Spa, getting my nails done and if possible, to do some shopping. However........

Since my better half is still my sick half, I end up being the home maker. Sending my baby to school, cooking lunch and making sure my better half taking his medication as prescribed.

We need to be at the hospital again for another round of blood test and we left at around 3pm after I sent my princess and my hero to the religious school. Much to my dismay, the traffic was bad. What supposed to be a 5 minutes trip took us slightly more than an hour. And the cause of the traffic that really make me soooo geram. Someone just decided to do some repair work. Buat petang nie apahal, buat malam skit tak leh ker??? Akai kat lutut ker???

Anyway, alhamdulilah the blood test still confirm it's not dengue. My better half refused to be admitted so we need to be at the hospital on daily basis to do the blood test, to monitor the platlet level until everything becomes normal again.
So, another at the hospital tomorrow...

When the better half become the sick half

After menidurkan the cuties last night, I took my better half to the hospital as his temp is still high, 39.4 to be exact. I am worried, the symptoms shows like it is dengue. Not willing to take any chances, off we were to the doctor.
My better half refused for his pictures to be taken, so I only managed to take the medical centers photos. Tu pun kena sound dgn guard. I didn't know it's illegal to take photos of a hospital. Kecohlah mamat guard tu...

Looks like today will be spent at home only. And do you know menjaga org tua sakit is worse than menjaga budak sakit...
