The H1N1 Scare

My baby was not well since Thursday. We took her immediately to SJCM. With the current scary situation, we felt we should not wait until things get serious.

And I have a strong feelings I was not the only one. We arrived at SJMC around 8 and the ER was packed. They even have to allocate seats outside of the ER and yet these seats are packed.

We have to wait nearly 2 hours before we get to see the doctor. The doctor checked the condition and suspect this is only a normal fever. He gave antibiotics and paracetamol. We were asked to monitor her condition for another 2 days and should this do not improve to take her here again.

Alhamdulilah, she is getting better. Frankly I was really scared and hoping for the best. Whenever the cuties fall sick, I would always wish to take their place.

With that, hope everyone’s weekend is a blast just like mine!!

Girls Day Out To Hair Saloon

My princess and baby wanted to have the experience having their hair cut at the hair saloon. And not just hair cut alone, also to have their hair wash as well. I played along since I have not taken them out, just them for ages.

I left my hero with my better half for supposedly a guy's day out but deep down inside, I know they would rather spend their time with us, of course not in the hair saloon.

My baby loved the hair wash, she kept on saying how refresh she felt having someone to wash her hair, and to top that, having her hair blown.

There was only one hair dresser that day hence the waiting period was quite long to the extend I fell asleep on the couch while waiting. Mama penatlah...

By the way, thinking of getting a body massage, can anyone recommend a good place to go...

Baju Raya Settle!

You know what puzzled me every year?

It's how fast people send their baju raya to the tailor. Actually, to be frank with you, my family and I would usually buy ready made baju raya. We feel it's more convenient and cheaper actually. But this year, I took a peek at my schedule and I can see I will be very busy until end of the year. Hence, getting a ready made baju may be a problem later.

So, this year, we sent our baju to the tailor. And guess what, when I did that, I was shocked to know they are about to stop taking any bookings. Imagine that, 3 months before Raya and you may not get people to sew the baju raya for you.

My baby was very excited, she don't usually get the chance to be measured.

And the theme of this year baju?

Biarlah Rahsia....HAHAHA!!!!

My baby's favourite food

It has been a challenge for us to feed my baby. She is very choosy about food and don't feel strongly about rice. She would usually have like not even half of the plate and when I told her to eat more and finish it, she would say " perut baby nie kecik, mana muat".

But, there's one food which she loves ever since she was a real baby. She can eat this the whole day without having to eat anything else, and that my normalies is.....

Bread with margerine and topped with some sugar.

Yup, you heard me right, it's bread with margerine(currently she loves this brand called Snow) and topped with sugar.........

My mom always tell me it's easy to take care of my baby, just need to have bread and margerine in the kitchen and that should settle it!

However, lately her appetite seems to be extraordinary. She can really eat nowadays without us having to force her. And she is not gaining weight at all...

Gosh, how I wish I have that!

Sunday groceries day

Once every two weeks, we will make a trip to Giant in Nilai to top up our groceries stock. Some essentials items are cereals, biscuits, nuggets, fries and many more. Giant is about 15 minutes drive from our home hence the nearest and most convenient place to get all the items we need.

This was done last week(Mother's Day week). Wanted to blog about it earlier but no time lah. It was actually a public holiday, Wesak Day so my better half was at home, usually he works on Saturdays.

My hero and my baby watching cakes and bread being prepared at the window while waiting for my better half was taking the car. Good news for me, at least that can keep them entertained while waiting for my better half. Otherwise, they will be running here and there and I will need to chase after them. Sape cakap anak dah besar senang nak manage huh?

The menu for that day was Nasi Ayam. Look out for the next entry on the Nasi Ayam lunch...hmmmm, yummy!!!!

Happy faces!!!

No write up, just happy faces over that weekend before I started having my hectic scheduling, in and out of meetings, working from home and so on so forth....The week where kat opis bersilat, kat rumah bersilat jugak, so enjoy this happy faces yer!
If you notice, my hero is not in the pics kan. Lately nie, he just don't like for his pics to be taken. Tak macho lah tu!

A delayed and advance birthday celebration

So many things going on in our life. So good, some bad, and that's how life should be.

With all this going on, sometimes things just could not happen as scheduled. Just like the celebration for my 2 little girls birthday.

We celebrated their birthday not on time. Baby's birthday was celebrated more than a week late and princess's birthday was a day early. We combined this 2 celebrations in one since it's only over a week apart.

We had the celebration back at my parent's place in Kelana Jaya. Just a simple celebration with take out food like sate, fried mee hoon and other delicious stuff. Iwan and family was there as well to join the fun.

My hero led the doa recital. He is really getting better at this.

We planned another big celebration later in May Insyallah to celebrate the cuties birthday(my hero's will be early June). It ala again depends on the "B". With "B", the event may be bigger.

Having dinner with family is simply priceless.......

It's all about cupcakes

We were ordering cupcakes every other week. Both for the birthday girls to bring to school to be shared with their friends.

This one was for my baby's birthday. I was not that happy with this cupcakes. It was not as nice as I thought it will be and to make matter worse, my baby's name was mispelled. So, not going to recommend this supplier to you all.

And this one for my princess's birthday. And this one was nicely done. Love it, the look, the taste and the speedy delivery. Interested, visit this blog.

But the bottom line is, my 2 girls had so much fun at school, and that's what matter the most.

My baby turns 8 today!!

Today is my baby's birthday. She turns 8 today.

And today, I would like to have one dedicated entry just for me to go down the memory lanes and share with you my experience with my cute little baby.

My baby's full name is Nur Aliya Nadhira (means Yang tinggi dan menawan). We called her baby ever since she was 2 days old and have been calling her that until now.

When I was carrying her, all those time during the pregnancy, we were always informed by my gynae that I am carrying a boy. But, I guess mother insticts is much more stronger than any scanning machine available. Everytime I go shopping to get baby stuff for her, I would always bought the items in pink instead of blue. And when I'm done shopping, I will give myself a big smack on the head for keeping on repeating the same mistake. And during this pregnancy period was when I left my job due to so many complications. I was constantly bleeding even with minimal movement and to be fair to my employer I tendered my resignation though they wanted me to apply for unpaid leave instead.

I was watching the re-run of Academy Awards at my mom's house when I got my initial labour pain. It was around 2.30am. The pain was not that severe so I just ignored it. However, it got worse at around 3am and my mom checked and said I was 8cm opened and ready to give birth. I was so panick but I think my better half was more panick than me. When my mom send me to the car, she keep on chanting for me not to give birth at the traffic light in the car and keep on telling me to hold and not to push.

Alhamdulilah, the hospital was not that far and we reached there just in time. I was rushed to the labour room and was told repeatedly not to push and to wait for the doctor to arrived. At this time, I felt like screaming to the nurse....Aku dah tak tahan!!!!

At 4am, a beautiful baby girl was born, just like my instinct.

Baby is such an easy infant to handle. She sleep on time, eat on time and everything she did has a specific trend which was easy to read. She usually sleeps after Maghrib and wakes up around 7am. Very minimal interruption during nite time unless if she is not well.

But, while she is growing up, it's a different things all together. Baby has always been the one with her own opinion ever since she was a small toddler. She will do what she wants to do and don't even care what others think of her, even until now. She is not girly and having her brother as her bestfriend making her more boyish by day.

She don't play with dolls though she loves teddy and have a lot of those in many shapes and sizes ; Elmo, Giraffe....you just name it! Baby loves art, she loves drawing and coloring and very good at it. She loves singing and dancing annd has a very good taste in music. I wonder where she got that from ;)

And the negative part...she screams alot...yup, I mean ALOT!!! She screams about everything, when she's hungry, when she's tired, when she's sleepy and many other occassions. She will fight back with everyone if she feels her position is threatened, doesn't matter whether that person is smaller or much bigger than her. She will surely fight for her right...And again I wonder where did she got that from....

My baby, one of the love of my life, the one who often makes me smile, makes me laugh and makes me shed tears of joy...My cute little baby...My sweet little baby....

And now she is 8.......sigh.........

Baby nak abang!!!

While waiting for my hero to complete his procedure, my baby was so restless. That was predicted as she is the closest to her abang. She kept on asking "Bila abang nak sudah nie"... and start to berguling here and there in the waiting room. Everytime the door opens, she will start running and have a look...and gets dissapointed everytime...

After my hero completed his treatment, he needs another one hour to recover. Since my better half has not eaten anything since morning, he thought it will be a good idea to bring my baby together to accompany my better half for breakfast. Of course, my princess would want to tag along.

There is a 1901 just outside the entrance of the hospital. So, that place was chosen as our temporary lepak place.

And Baby was still waiting impatiently for her abang.......

Making the goodie bags...

Dah makan kan? So, now let's start working ok....

I have boiled the eggs earlier, they just need to attach this to the bunga telur. We had chosen gree this time, no special reason, just that when we went to Nilai 3 to make purchases, green caught our attention. We also bought packs of potpouri. This is also to be included in the goodie bags.

The cuties, adik and my 2 darling nephews were having fun while doing this. I can hear them laughing away, teasing each other from the kitchen. I love this riuh environment, macam nak kenduri kendara besar lak kan?

My princess and my baby having their own fun. Though they know what the event is for, they did not show any discomfort in preparing this. I hope this kind of behaviour will continue until they grow up. It's scare me if they start fighting with each other and their relationship start to fall apart....

After competing this task, I told them to go to bed. We have to wake up early tomorrow....Banyak keje lagi nie...

Baby's proud moment

Last week we attended the cuties prize giving ceremony. All 3 were involved, however, I was so tired, I was not aware the camera was not fully charged and the batteries were about to go flat.

I only managed to take baby's photos. The rest of the event, the batteries were not working so tak dapek den nak menolong....

Baby was very happy at the same time sad cause she is leaving her friends and start her new life in a new school. I hope she will be able to adapt to the new environment, somehow, knowing her selamba attitude, I don't see she will encounter any problems in that area.

Hoping for another successful year for the cuties for many years to come.

Pengubat Duka

My hero was invited to a birthday party and the invitation was not extended to my princess and my baby. I know the girls were quite dissapointed considering they have always been going places together. They even walked the brother right in front of the gate of the birthday boy with the hope that they will be invited in...but.......

So, my better half decided to bring them for a treat instead, and Secret Recipe was the best option.

My baby had mushroom soup

My princess had spagetti meatballs & chocolate shake (oreo)

My better half had the chicken burger

And I just had the spring roll(kan akak diet...)

We also gave them an extended treat, ice cream!!!

This is a good lesson for them actually. Hope this will teach them, as they grow up they will have different set of activities and friends...But, nevertheless, I still hope they can continue to be closed to each other like how they are now....
