Birthday Meal

Of all the places my hero can choose to eat for his birthday, he insisted we eat at KFC. I offered Chillis, TGIF, Swensen and many other places but he still wanted KFC. Why KFC, I have no idea and when I asked him, he just felt like having KFC. With that answer, I stopped asking....
We had the KFC at OU right after the science adventure. The crowd was not that pack so it was quite comfy to eat there. I was already tired so having meals at a fast food outlet where I have to que for food is just not what I was looking forward too. But, since this was the birthday boy choice, we went along with it.
My hero, as usual, being the hero in the family, make sure that the needs of his sibblings are well taken care off. That includes making sure the chilli sauces are able to come out from the bottle. Once everybody settled down, he recited the prayer and only then we can eat.
My hero told me he had a great time and this was like the best birthday ever....but then again, he said that every year. It's either the birthday celebration we planned for him is getting better each year or he is just being polite and grateful for all the things we are doing for him.
With that, I thank Allah for all the blessings....

Iftar @ KFC @ BSP

I was craving for KFC for the past couple of days. But, eating this in the office macam tak best. cause I know the cuties would enjoy this more than I do. Since I was fasting yesterday, thought that would make a good iftar meal.
So, on our way home, we stopped by the KFC Drive Thru in Sg Besi which by the way is the most lembab drive through. Maybe they don't understand the drive thru concept. When people opt to use drive thru service means they are in a rush. Kalau tak, they all que and makan kat dalam jer....
We ordered the mini bucket(cause nak Hot Spicy gak), 3 pieces of chicken and the new meal introduced by KFC i.e. the chicken wings. Memang satisfying...
And as I mentioned earlier, the cuties enjoyed this more than I do...

Breaking fast in the car

Yesterday was so depressing. Depressing as the title is suggesting.

We were stuck in a horrible traffic. Of all the day in the month Ramadhan, it has to be the day that I told my mom not to cook as we planned to take my parents out for buka puasa. Made reservations at Sari Ratu Nasi Padang earlier, but the time was 7.10pm and we just entered the NPE.
My thoughts were not so much on how me and my better half is going to break fast in the car, but more on what's the situation back home. What will the cuties have since mom is not cooking? What will my mom has to do when I promised her a dinner out? What kind of bebelan that I have to take from my dad.

We arrived at the front gate around 7.30pm. I went straight in, half frantic, to see what the cuties are eating. Alhamdulilah, my mom's contigency plan was indeed a delicious one, she made cekodok ikan bilis bawang, my all time favourite. The cuties were fine and eating without complaining. My dad, being my dad, was giving me this unnecessary lecture about eating during weekdays during fasting month is never a good idea. And he said, the dinner planned needs to be cancelled, he did not want to miss his terawih. So, I called the place and the deal is off.

I felt we owe the cuties good dinner(by their definition), so we let them choose where to eat. As predicted, they chose fast food of course. So, we headed to Subang Parade to have dinner at the newly opened KFC.

I guess the cuties were more interested with the playland rather than having their dinner.

I have been wanting to have Big Apple for the longest time so we tapau'ed half dozen. Those were what I had for sahur by the way, while the rest was having rice.

Subang Parade was so beautifully decorated, they had this bridge which felt like Raya @ Kampung.
I have long lists to do and I just realised 17 more days to go before Raya...alamak, sempat ker nak complete all!!!

Rumah Merah, Biru and Hijau

I promised an entry on the cuties Sports Day so here goes...
All 3 are involved directly with the event. My princess participated in the Tunas Puteri march, followed by 4X100m relay race. My hero involved in one of the Sukaneka event and so did my baby. So, it was a busy day for my better half and me as well as we need to run around the field to make sure we snap the photos.

My baby's event was the first event of the day. She did not win but she was ok about it. Maybe she finally understood that in an event there will be winners and not winners(hate to use the word losers!)

Next, was my hero's event and his team got second place. He was very excited about it considering he did not win anything yet this year.

My princess who has been practising real hard, however, was dissapointed that her team got 4th place i.e. no medal. She keep on blabbering her dissatisfaction towards the teacher who chose one girl with asthma problem and never attended practices as one of the runner. Well, life is tough!

By the time all 3 completed their event, we headed to the canteen since my baby and my princess were complaining that they are starving. The good thing about this year's event was all the children were given packet of nasi lemak and drinks.

We didn't stay till the end of the event. The weather was very hot and I don't think I can stand the heat any longer.

Since the cuties potrayed excellent sportmanship and we now they really worked hard, we decided to give them a treat at KFC and they got to buy the chicky meal.(usually, we only bring them here but only can buy the food with no toys.)

This was the last Sports Day event the cuties will have in this school. Next year, with completely new school, new area and maybe new Rumah Sukan....
