A well spent Saturday

Work has been overwhelming and this workload usually spilled to the after office hours i.e. either later at night or over the weekend. Due this circumstances, I have to really plan carefully. What time I need to allocate for cooking, for housework and for other related stuff. And my dream to be a successful blogger, which I know something I have to really work hard for. It's not impossible, just need to work hard and time management is very crucial.
Saturday is an important day for me. Not only I have to complete the house chores, I also need to make sure I spend sufficient time with the cuties.
It will usually start with breakfast. FYI, for those who don't know yet, my better half works on Saturday hence life on Saturday with him will usually starts at 2pm. Last Saturday, I just tapaued food, some nasi lemak and kuih. My hero helped to serve the food and this was his creation, karipap berdonut.

Later, once my better half came home from work, we left to send the cuties to Holiday Villa, there's a magic show workshop conducted which we have pre-registered for this. While waiting for the cuties, I tried to do some work at the nearest Mcd, trying to get Wi-Fi access. When we picked the cuties up, they told us it was a boring session and not interactive at all. Kesian.....

Then, we lepaked at Subang Parade, been quite some time since we went there. Had late lunch at Yanti Rasa Thai, ordered Nasi Goreng Cina and Cantonese Kuey Teow. We were really full when we left that place, my better half was the most full one, he even had Sago Gula Melaka for desert.

We hang out at MPH, I bought some books for the cuties, of course, Cleo for me. Again, lepaked at Book Cafe to get some work done using their Wi-Fi.
It was indeed a long Saturday but well spent. Now...what should we do on Sunday...Hmmmmm.....

Mom's birthday celebration

Ever since I was very small, I remembered we will always have a double celebration for Mother's Day. Why? Cause my mom's birthday falls some where around Mother's Day.
This year was not exception. However, it was not a big celebration like before because my elder brother who is in Malacca couldn't make it and Iwan has to work late. Never mind, we shall have another celebration when everyone is around.
We brought mom to Swensen at Subang Parade. My dad is quite paranoid with this halal issue. Whenever we need to take him out for dinner, we have to do our research to ensure the place is halal place. Halal by definition with the halal certification. I know he meant well as he always reminds me if we ever consumed non-halal food, it will blackened our heart and later cause lots of harm to the body.

We ordered a little bit of everything in the menu. From pasta to pizza to salad and some snack like chicken wings and fried mushroom. Dad had fish and chips which he complained was not that tender and the crumb was too hard. Did I mention to you he was a chef hence he loves to criticised whenever we eat out.

The cuties love this place. I love this place too. The service is excellent and the food is simply delicious.

We wanted to order Earthquake but everyone was too full. But, what's a trip to Swensen without having the ice cream. So, I ordered the sticky chocolate ice cream, my favourite! Actually, that was the only food I had, did not want to have too much cause I have plan to have supper with my better half. Nak dating lah!

To mom, happy birthday and love you sooooo much. Thanks for everything that you have done and that definitely make me a better person. And Happy Mother's Day too!!

Dessert after lunch

It's been quite a while since we took the cuties out for food. We have been juggling with the hectic schedules and that includes the weekend.

So, after a tiring sports event that the cuties have to go through, we thought of rewarding them with some goodies at Subang Parade.

All of us has something different in mind, I wanted the Kenny Rogers muffin with Mcd's coffee. My better half wanted Big Apple, my princess and my baby wanted Sundae from Mcd and my hero wanted double cheese burger. So, we bought all three and ate all this at Mcd.
The cuties are really growing up. Usually, if we are at Mcd, they will be running to the playland. But, this time they did not even move. They just sat down while waiting for their food. When I asked them whether they want to play, they replied they felt they are too big for the playland....sigh....

We did not stay there for too long. I wanted to go home at the soonest considering a lot of chores has yet to be completed....And another weekend gone........

A roti boy outing

Last Saturday, after this event , we dropped by my parent's house to perform Zuhur prayer and then had lunch as a nearby stall. Since it's been quite sometime we took the cuties out, we thought of bringing them to Subang Parade. Dah lama kan tak pegi Subang Parade.

We thought it will also be a good treat for my princess who had performed very well. And also, it's the end of the month. It's reward time, purchase books in exchange for the cuties good behaviour.

Before we make our way home, we stopped by a bakery in Subang Parade, Roti Boy for a snack. The cuties love the Roti Boy while my better half had the blurberry cake. Me? Still on diet so just mineral water...

I can't help to think how blessed I am with such a loving husband and 3 adorable cuties. Life may not be perfect but to me it's perfect from my point of views. We do have our problems but we share equal time of happiness as well. Made me realise...what I wanted all this while to the extend feeling so upset when that individual took it away from me, may not be what I need after all!

While the cuties are @ school

After we sent my princess and my hero to religious school and my baby to primary school, we realised we have 2.5 hours to kill. My better half remembered I have wanting to eat prosperity burger for the last 2 weeks and then he drove to Subang Parade to fullfill my cravings. Not forgetting the fluffy muffin from Kenny Rogers.
Wow, the burger tasted as good as how I remembered it to be...
Next, to get my better half's birthday present. Yup, his birthday was like 3 weeks ago but I didn't know what to get him so I asked him what he wanted. Apart from my undying love and loyalty of course ;)
So, he told me he wanted a pair of either Adidas or Nike shoes. To save the hassle of him not liking my choice, we went together to get this so that he can choose the one he likes and I will then be the paymaster. This is his choice...
We hardly get to spend time together, just the 2 of us, so we really enjoyed the quality time we had...and wondering when can we get the next available slot...

Latest hang out

Considering we don't live near Subang Jaya anymore and Subang Parade is quite a distant from the new house, we need to search for the nearest reliable and comfortable shopping complex to be declared as our latest hang out. We are so used to Subang Parade and the fact that Subang Parade has set such a high benchmark, we find it difficult to get its replacement. Mind you, I have been a frequent visitor of Subang Parade since I was 12, the day this place was opened.

We have gone to 2 places in BBB but we were not satisfied with both. Something is just not right with either one of this 2.
So, last weekend,we decided to try Jusco at Seri Kembangan. This place is about 20 minutes drive from our place. Not too bad.
This place is quite ok. It's comfortable and there are many shops ranging from clothing to groceries. This met one of the criteria that we have indicated as the choice of shopping complex.
Since we were not doing anything and just window shopping, when the cuties came across this game place, we allowed them to have some fun there. One token costs 50 cents which is still within the budget.
As predicted, my better half would be more excited than the cuties. My baby wanted to play this airplane tembak2 game, and her Papa volunteered to help. Ended up, he conquered the game instead. So predictable. Dari supporting actor to the hero roles. I guess there is a kid within all of us, hiks!
Jusco, you'll be seeing more of us in future. Dah kena apply Jusco card le pulok!

Breaking fast in the car

Yesterday was so depressing. Depressing as the title is suggesting.

We were stuck in a horrible traffic. Of all the day in the month Ramadhan, it has to be the day that I told my mom not to cook as we planned to take my parents out for buka puasa. Made reservations at Sari Ratu Nasi Padang earlier, but the time was 7.10pm and we just entered the NPE.
My thoughts were not so much on how me and my better half is going to break fast in the car, but more on what's the situation back home. What will the cuties have since mom is not cooking? What will my mom has to do when I promised her a dinner out? What kind of bebelan that I have to take from my dad.

We arrived at the front gate around 7.30pm. I went straight in, half frantic, to see what the cuties are eating. Alhamdulilah, my mom's contigency plan was indeed a delicious one, she made cekodok ikan bilis bawang, my all time favourite. The cuties were fine and eating without complaining. My dad, being my dad, was giving me this unnecessary lecture about eating during weekdays during fasting month is never a good idea. And he said, the dinner planned needs to be cancelled, he did not want to miss his terawih. So, I called the place and the deal is off.

I felt we owe the cuties good dinner(by their definition), so we let them choose where to eat. As predicted, they chose fast food of course. So, we headed to Subang Parade to have dinner at the newly opened KFC.

I guess the cuties were more interested with the playland rather than having their dinner.

I have been wanting to have Big Apple for the longest time so we tapau'ed half dozen. Those were what I had for sahur by the way, while the rest was having rice.

Subang Parade was so beautifully decorated, they had this bridge which felt like Raya @ Kampung.
I have long lists to do and I just realised 17 more days to go before Raya...alamak, sempat ker nak complete all!!!

Dessert time

I have been very tight up with work lately that I have been spending lesser time with my family. Even during weekends, I have to work. Not that I'm complaining, I should be grateful I still have a job.
The other day, after a long day at work, I called my better half and asked him whether he felt like having dessert with the cuties and that I am arriving in 15 minutes time.
So, we headed to Mcd Subang Parade. The cuties had their Mcflurry and ice cream While myself and my better half had the coffee and kenny roger's muffin(no outside food ler konon).
I guess being married for so long sometimes made you realised, it's not so much about spending much time together but spending quality time together...
Who was that again that wanted my job....Sila lah apply yer......And maybe at that time, you finally know how I feel

Good book, good company

After my appointment with the doctor, I decided to drive to Subang Parade while waiting for my better half to finish his work. I haven't been eating, no appetite. Went to Kenny Rogers to grab those delicious vanilla muffin and a cup of coffee from Mcd.

I just started with the next Shopaholic series, this one called Shopaholic & Baby. So far, the most intriguing compared to the others that I have read, but then again I said that everytime I start on the new series...

Sometimes, you may have all the friends around you, and yet you just need to be alone, by yourself, to gather some thoughts. Shut everything out, not responding to emails or messages...That's how I feel yesterday, and at the same time I have to restrain myself from shopping. And doing that in a shopping complex!

That's a good personal accomplishment, as far as I am concern.

Latest addition

I left early on Monday for doctor's appointment and it ended earlier than usual. So, I dropped by Subang Parade while waiting for my better half to come back from work.
While browsing, I bought a cute orange colour pouch for my blackberry. Dropped by MPH and purchase the next shopaholic series, Shopaholic Takes Manhattan. As I am a member of the MPH, I got to sit at the member's lounge while reading...
Itu baru about less than 2 hours in Subang Parade...Kalau satu hari, harus banyak duit akak habis....

Big Apple again!!

We had Big Apple(again?)...Sapa suruh bukak outlet that is so easy for me to access...

The cuties were very much interested to watch the process of making the delicious doughnuts.
Tapi, the funny thing was we had to que for quite sometime sebab the place ran out of doughnuts..Kalau dah kedai donut takde donut, nak jual apa lak, tayar basikal??
So, we only got to buy the above sebab maleh nak tunggu but still Big Apple didn't dissapoint me...

Maybe the outlet is still new, so level of efficiency kureng skit. Once they are used to the crowd, maybe they'll be more efficient like the one at the curve..

Just mama and us

My better half had to work on the CNY day, until 3pm at least, so it's just me and the cuties. I asked them where do they want to go and all agreed for Subang Parade to be the destination.

Before we leave the house, our next door neighbour was kind enough to give us a packet of ground nuts, mandarin orange and ang pow for the cuties ler...I am married so entitlement has been revoked long time ago...

Whenever we go to Subang Parade, our mandatory place to visit will be MPH. As expected many of the shops were closed and alhamdulilah, MPH was not one of them. While walking towards MPH, we were so glad that Big Apple Doughnut is finally open. But I told the cuties, we will go there after MPH so that we can enjoy the doughnuts with my better half. He will meet us there later.

I bought the cuties one book each, I love to buy them books here as they are members of MPH Kidz Club and will get 10% discounts.

Finally, doughnuts time. My better half arrived just in time, while it was my turn to order. The que was not that bad, maybe because of the festive mood.

As usual, Big Apple did not fail us :)

We will be on our way to Batu Pahat, time to visit the cuties nenek and atuk!

Jalan2 carik pasal

Right after my better half came back from work and after performing the Zuhur prayer, we went out to look for lunch. He was starving and wanted to have something heavy. Since we are heading to Subang Parade, the most appropriate place to eat will be at the Chicken Rice Shop.

We were in desperate need in finding what to wear for my better half dinner. The theme for the dinner is red, orange or yellow...I have strong and violent objection about wearing yellow, don't want to end up looking like another orang Digi....I will follow you.....But since my better half and the gang have agreed to this colour after changing their mind several times..We did not fid anything suitable at Subang Parade so next stop is at Summit USJ. This place have lots of shirts, the ala2 Hong Kong style one you know...

Stumbled upon this boutique owned by a veteran singer, Rohana Jalil...I would not be caught dead wearing something designed by this singer. So the very Anugerah Juara Lagu 1997!!!!

While hunting for the shirt, came across this pet shop and has this baby monkey displayed in front of the shop. Before the cuties say anything, I told them, NO, WE ARE NOT GETTING A MONKEY OR ANY FORM OF LIVING THING AS A PET...not now, not ever!!!
So, yellow it is and we found the shirts just in time before the dinner. When I say before, I meant right before. Dinner starts at 7.30 and we found our shirt at 6.30pm. Got back home just in time to have a quick shower and left the house right after the maghrib prayer...

What happened during the dinner? Keep reading yeah!

A day with my sayang

It is something very usual for us to take a day off from work once every 3 months and just spend time without the cuties. Some married couple may take this for granted but trust me, you really need to spend time alone with each other. Usually, we will go for movies, bowling or just window shopping...

Today is declared as a public holiday for Wilayah as well. I have actully planned the day off anyway since my better half will be observing the holiday. The cuties have been booked awal2 lagi by their grandparents so it's just me and my better half. The event today is shopping complex hopping(alah, macam island hopping ler)
So, we started with breakfast at Sunway. We were a regular customer of this particular nasi lemak shop located in a food court near Sunway College. I haven't come to this place for ages. The taste haven't change so does the price. It is still as cheap as I remembered it to be. Imagine, one nasi lemak with rendang kerang and telur goreng and another nasi lemak with daging goreng and sambal sotong (with very generous portion, mind you) cost us only RM6 for both. Can you get that kind of food with this kind of price...

First shopping mall in the list is Sunway Pyramid...

Then, we were at The Curve, Cineleisure and IKEA Ikano...

And what a trip to The Curve without dropping by at Big Apple...I still insist it's better than J-Co..

We went back home for Zuhur, Asar and Maghrib prayer...

Last destination Subang Parade, bought a pair of shoes there...will blog about it tomorrow...

We had fun...with each other...;)
