Unexpected gift - Patchi Chocolate

A day before Ramadhan, we had a big project led by Maryam, a coaching and mentoring session between CEOs of GLCs and their mentees. It was quite a big event considering the attendees are big shots in their organisation. This was held at the Sime Darby Convention Center in Bukit Kiara. First time ever we had event here.

Alhamdulilah, everything turned out fine and went on smoothly. Despite subuh2 dah sampai situ and worked hard the day before the event, the outcome was very satisfactory.

After hard day at work, now it's makan time. I was very tired so not so into food at that time.

Just had this plate of nasi and some dessert. Ini bila takde selera, kalau selera, harus semua dibedal. The best thing was they had chocolate fountain. I am not a big fan of chocolate but chocolate fountain...I LOVE!!!!

Then came the surprise.....Maryam, the PM bought us the project team a box of Patchi chocolate. This chocolate is very very expensive. This is the type of chocolate I will only eat if I got it for free, kalau beli sendiri jangan haraplah....

Thank Maryam, love the chocolates....

And the present kept coming

It's been 2 weeks since the cuties birthday bash but the presents kept coming every other day. Alhamdulilah, murah rezeki the cuties.

This was received from Wati who can't make it to the party as her youngest son was not well and she was stuck in the hospital that whole afternoon waiting for the blood test result.

Thanks Wati for the present....The cuties seems to still be enjoying themselves though the birthday was really over!

I'm not the only one with a new toy

Ever since I got this for myself, I am so into it. I bring it everywhere I go as it is convenient to do so now.

Remember I got my better half a new toy as well...that leaves the mobile he was using not utilise by anyone. Since the cuties did very well during their last exam, we felt we are ready to give this to them. We purchase a new number and briefed them the do's and don't's of having one. I even quoted a line from Spiderman "with great power come great responsibility". Drama betul lah Mama ni....

We also informed we will only load an X amount of prepaid on monthly basis and they need to manage this as the mobile should be used during emergency only. And if their exam results drop(any of them), we will take this away. Not to be strict, but we just want them to learn to earn what they want.

So everyone got a toy each and live happily ever after....hahaha!!!!

My hero's new craze

I think by now, most of you would know my hero's ambition to be a scientist. He loves science and would be able to spend hours reading books related to science. While other kinds enjoy watching cartoon, he prefers watching Animal Planet or National Geographic.

This was one of the very many great gifts he got from the birthday bash. I think this was given by Gina, betul tak?

He made us take him to the fish shop the next day to buy some to be placed in this container. He was also blabbering what kind of fish he wants as this tank does not have oxygen supply hence choosing the right fish is crucial. Now, everytime I come back from work, he would brief me the update on his new experiment, at time using terms I have never heard off!

Insyallah, if he works hard and study smart, he will be able to achieve what he has always dream off....Amin.........

Gift from one blogger to another

The much awaited parcel is finally here. It arrived on Wednesday, however, I was on leave and only got it on Thursday.

It's none other than from the pengantin baru, Cik Vagg all the way from Terengganu.

Full of goodies to be shared with K Red. Sorry K Red, I know you came few times to get this from me and I was never at my place, been in and out of meeting. Monday will give this to you yer...

The cuties were so excited to get all this goodies. There's keropok, some sweet tooth and the goodie bag from the wedding.

Gift from silent reader

I have been blogging for nearly 2 years but it has never been my intention to be glamorous and famous. I blog just because I love blogging and I don't want to miss important things in my life which I intend to share with the cuties when they are older.

Hence, never I imagine myself having silent readers who often came to my blog to read the stories of my life.

And this silent reader, sent a gift to our house as a gesture for not being able to come to the party. And how did she know about this event? It just so happened she is a friend of my better half.

Thanks for the cake and flowers. The cake was simply delicious and the flowers smell so nice that this ended in our bedroom...

Hope to meet you in person. Lain kali kalau ajak jangan tak datang pulak yer!

The parcel finally here....

We have been accummulating points by filling up fuel with Esso/Mobil. We got about 20k points. We were browsing through the catalogue to choose what is the best gift for us to redeemed.

And we noticed how old our rice cooker is. It's about 12 years old and it was the wedding gift we got.

Finally the much awaited parcel arrived. We waited for about 3 weeks before this arrived. Very worth while waiting period.

This rice cooker cost us about 10k points. Not bad ya!

So, the rice will be cooked in this new cooker this weekend...Mesti best!

Happy Teacher's Day

As usualy, just like the previous years, we prepared presents for the cuties to bring for their teachers for the Teacher's Day celebration. Baby would be joining her sister and brother for the morning session.

I admire those who chose teacher as a profession. Being teacher is never easy. You have to have the patience, determination and creativity. Especially with kids nowadays, trying to get their attention can be a challenge.

I remembered few teachers I have. One came to my mind is Puan Sabrina Cheah. She was the fierce version of the teachers I had encountered. One time, I did not complete my homework and I got really punished for it. And of course Cikgu Fuad, Cikgu Ramlah and Cikgu Khalid, my teachers for primary school. And Puan Noorliza whom I had during my MRSM days and she was the one who made me love chemistry. Puan Umi was my homeroom teacher. She was the sweetest. I remembered we always got invited to her house and did some cooking there.

During my working years, I have teachers too, so to speak....

But, where I am coming from....experience has always been the best teacher of all!!

Berrylicious Couple

The company that I am working with was having this so called sale on the second hand Blackberry. I was skeptical at first for buy one, considering this was the berry we used back in 2007. The price quoted was RM300 nett for the complete set.

After consulting some friends, I decided to go ahead with the purchase.

My better half loves it and that's what important. Now, we can be known as the berrylicious couple...Muahahaha!!!!

My hero's ambition

My hero has this one ambition since he was 7, he wanted to be a scientist.

He has always been fascinated by the world of science. He reads science, he watches science and he learns science. It will not be too much if I were to say, he embraces science. And science will be the subject he scores the highest for his exam.

For his 9th birthday, he wanted a set to microscope and that's exactly what we got him. Since then, he was examining any specimen he can find, dead insects, baby's teeth even his own skin cells.

While others love to watch cartoon channels, he would prefer to watch the science channels in Astro be it Discovery or Animal Planet.

This are all his science books collection. Off late, he is really into dinosours. Infact, most of the books that he requested for me to purchase for him would be those related to dinosours.

As a mother, I will be supportive to whatever ambitions any of my cuties wish to be when they grow up. My only wish is for each and everyone of them will become anak yang soleh and solehah and will be able to have a good life later in the future.

p/s : I have a confession, actually he wanted to be a pilot during the earlier stage of his life, but I told him that would make me sad as he may not be able to come home to me for Raya...so selfish kan me as a mother, but I guess it's true when you hear those saying no matter how grown up the cuties can be, they will always be my babies......

Short Term Incentive Plan

Being a HR practitioner, sometimes I can't help it to practise some of the HR skills to my family. Especially the good motivating one to the cuties.

I think by now, many would know our daily crazy schedule. As much as myself and my better half prepare ourselves, if we don't get full cooperation from the cuties, it will still be a chaotic day.

Just to motivate them, I promised if they behave and give me very minimal problems, I will buy them books of their choices at the end of every month provided the books do not cost more than RM20. If we don't have a ceiling clause, my hero would of course request for the whole encyclopedia set that he has been wanting for the past 6 months. Mahal tu!

So, yesterday, I went to Kino to purchase the promised books. My princess wanted to add her collection of the Mr Midnight series, my hero wanted something related to Ben10 and my baby just wanted any story books. I still have some vouchers left which I won earlier so, I used that for this.

Of course, my regular reading material. Mana boleh lupa kan?

That is short term incentive plan, still thinking what to reward the cuties for the Long Term Incentive Plan, and before you suggest, toys are a big NO NO! A holiday with theme park sounds good kan?

Sweeties for the cuties

Wow! The title of this entry rhymes.

Anyway, I got this 2 nice lolipops during this event. I'm not fond to sweet stuff so of course this will automatically be for the cuties.

I only remembered about this during the weekend and when I gave this to them, they were so excited, I think more because of the colours. So bright and nice.'

At least, this kept them occupied from BSP to Melaka. Kurang ler skit distraction while my better half drives and me sleep...hihihi...

I also got a cigar...rasa macam nak test jer kan, camne lah rasa cigar. My better half also wondering how that will taste like. Nanti lah bang, kita try sesama ;)

The gifts

After the celebration, it's the gift opening time.

For my mom in law, we got her a pair of Scholl sandals. She has been complaining of her aching legs when she walk, so we thought getting a comfortable sandals will ease the pain. Save the trouble of guessing what size fits her, we brought her to the shoes shop and let her choose which one she loves. And she chose this one.

However, she is not very happy when she get to know how much the price is. She felt it's too expensive but we felt she deserve even more than that!

And for Adik, we got her a pair of watch. Cost about RM150. Adik has always been the one being with us whenever we need extra hands. So, the watch was nothing.

Alhamdulilah, this 2 precious ladies love their gifts. And the best thing is we all had a good time....

Gong Xi Fa Cai gift

This whole week my better half has been receiving mandarin oranges from his friends. Loads of them actually, accumulated now about 6 boxes.

We gave one box to my parents and thought of bringing 2 more boxes to kampung, we are going back to Batu Pahat tomorrow.

There are 2 types of mandarin oranges received. One is the big ones and the other one is the small ones.

Some were sweet and of course there were sour ones.

Come to think of it, it's just like life...through out the journey, you'll experience sweet memories and of course there will be sour ones as well. Just take it as another phase in your life, and this phase will soon past.....

While the cuties are @ school

After we sent my princess and my hero to religious school and my baby to primary school, we realised we have 2.5 hours to kill. My better half remembered I have wanting to eat prosperity burger for the last 2 weeks and then he drove to Subang Parade to fullfill my cravings. Not forgetting the fluffy muffin from Kenny Rogers.

Wow, the burger tasted as good as how I remembered it to be...

Next, to get my better half's birthday present. Yup, his birthday was like 3 weeks ago but I didn't know what to get him so I asked him what he wanted. Apart from my undying love and loyalty of course ;)

So, he told me he wanted a pair of either Adidas or Nike shoes. To save the hassle of him not liking my choice, we went together to get this so that he can choose the one he likes and I will then be the paymaster. This is his choice...

We hardly get to spend time together, just the 2 of us, so we really enjoyed the quality time we had...and wondering when can we get the next available slot...

Kemaruk Charm Bracelet

While shopping for books, spending the Kino vouchers received during this recent event, I bought my princess a book which gives away charm bracelet complimentary.

That's it! I am getting the bracelet...
